“Did you just-“
“Yes.”
“Did you just propose to me?” Kageyama wheezes.
“Yes.”
“We aren’t- we’re not even dating-“
“I know,” Shouyou says cheerfully, snuggling close again, pressing himself against Kageyama from chest to toes. He rubs his nose against his setter’s bridge and dances his fingertips across the nape of his neck. “I don’t care. Marry me anyway.”

Summary
It starts like this; they are in high school, both of them laying against the cool of the gymnasium floor with all the breath taken out of them, just finished with a practice match. Tobio can still feel the pounding of his heart in his ears, and thinks we might be invincible. And then he thinks — this feeling in his chest might have a name.
It starts like this; they graduate and Hinata leaves, but there is no goodbye. There is just the feeling of Hinata receiving his serve, hair a mess and grin bright, as he says he’ll see him later. Like it is a given, that no matter where they are and where they go, nothing will change the fact they’ll meet again.
It starts like this; Hinata Shouyou returns to Japan at the end of the March, right at the start of spring. Tobio does not come find him, and he does not find Tobio. They meet again with a net between them.
It starts like this; with Hinata Shouyou, in a million different ways and a thousand different paths, all of them pointed to home.
