Summary
You learned from the elders that staring is rude, but you can't stop yourself from gawking at the strange man. He's a monster, a demon you were taught to fear, but he's one of the most beautiful creatures you've ever seen.
“You have quite the nerves, mortal,” he boasts and you feel his deep voice rumbling all the way in your chest. He takes a thorough look at your room, snickering at the onslaught of religious symbols on the ground. “Most humans fear monsters like me, especially your kind.”
“You don't seem much like a monster to me. After all, the monsters in this cult wear the faces of regular men,” you reply. “Teachers, pastors, doctors, fathers or husbands, they're all the same.”
