Suletta dreams of home. Not Mercury or the room she shared with her mom or even her bunk bed in Earth House. The greens here are vibrant, well-fed and deeply loved. The vines grow and grow, and she watches yellow flowers bloom then bear fruit, the tomatoes ripe and big enough to fit in the palm of her hands. The greenhouse is far away from everything she’s ever known. It’s quiet here, and peaceful. She thinks she could stay here forever.

Summary
The first thing Miorine really notices is that Suletta’s eyebrows are much easier to see now, and then, comparatively, the first thing that comes out of her mouth, as jumbled as the rest of her, is: “Oh.”
Suletta squeaks. There are tears forming in her eyes, and Miorine feels some part of her brain click into place when she notices; a crying Suletta has always had some sort of horrible effect on her, and Miorine isn’t sure she’s awake enough to process those feelings right now. But she so desperately doesn’t want Suletta to cry, and so she steps forward, blinking, trying to comprehend better—faster.
“Oh,” she says again stupidly, and then, somewhat alarmed, “you cut your hair!”

(When Suletta is six years old, in a fit of rage and loneliness, she takes a pair of clippers to her hair for the first time. It's not the last.)

"I think I just want to see you in the place that I love, with the people I love. So that when I think of them, I’ll think of you too. Or—Or when I talk about them, you’ll know what I mean,” She giggled a little at herself. “I’m sorry, I don’t know if that makes sense.”
OR: Suletta and Miorine take a trip to Mercury five years after Quiet Zero.
