Riddle wrapped his arms around the fae’s shoulders, blinking down at him for a couple moments as the prince smiled up at him. Once he caught sight of those bright green eyes, his heart began to slow once more, and that strange calmness returned. Malleus shifted the young boy so he was being held with one arm and brushed a lock of hair out of the redhead’s face. “So long as you remain here, no one will harm you, understood?” No, he didn’t understand, but Riddle nodded anyway. The prince smiled, brushing Riddle’s cheek with the pad of his thumb. “That’s a good boy.”
