Summary
There are some scenes I came up with while writing "Detour" that ultimately didn't make the cut or weren't necessary for the main story, but that I had fun writing. Sometimes I just need to flesh out a subplot further to see how I can advance the main plot.

Summary
After the war with Gaea Nico spent three days in the infirmary recovering like he had promised Will. And he helped him out in there for another week after that. The two of them quickly grew close, but instead of going for it, Nico chickened out and fled - first to the Underworld, then to Camp Jupiter.
He returns to Camp Half-Blood a couple of month later, after Hazel had talked into Nico a lot.

His mother seemed shaken when she dropped him off. He was very quiet for a few days. From that point on, Will was a year rounder.
Everyone assumed it was a monster. Will let them. In a way, it was a monster."
