Summary
Guys, I fixed the script. I had to revise the canon order of events and, naturally, add elements so Woon is saved from suicide and the bad-ass Jin-joo is saved from the sexist expectations of her times. Not in the sageuk but historically, Dong-soo marries Jin-joo not Ji-sun? How interesting it was for that to turn up in my Google searches. I wanted to write that while acknowledging Dong-soo/Woon as the central pairing of the story. Following the changed canon ending, my fic explores a new future for everyone.
I adored this K-drama; I was compelled to write this fic even after swearing I would give up writing fanfiction.
Pairings: Dong-soo/Woon. Chun/Dong-soo. Dong-soo/Jin-joo.
Genre: Romance. Hurt/Comfort. Drama with sageuk-like details about clothes and military rankings. (Sorry if I made historical trespasses—sageuk are fanfics too that do this all the time, though. I researched the shit of this). NSFW stuffs because of course.
Warnings: homosexuality, heterosexuality, rape, dub-con, memories of physical and emotional abuse in childhood.
