Summary
Based very very loosely on the characters Feyre and Rhysand from A Court Of Thorns And Roses, so no set up to them/their relationship, just think of Rhysand as Neil Gaiman The Sandman vibes
Base line: Man is in possession of a young (20ish) girl through nefarious means (kidnapping, slave trade, etc) and wants to unlock the power within that he knows she has. He has tried semi-decent means to try and access this power so he can harness it and use it for himself; using her as a weapon to amplify his own powers as she is told to be much much stronger. While she despises him and the situation he has her in, she borders on respect for him to make things better for herself, having a case of Stockholm syndrome. She, too, wants to harness these powers and use them to free herself, but after so many failed attempts she doesn’t believe it to be true at all.
