It felt it the moment it happened. It knew.
The pain It felt was overwhelming.
Pain.
Pain overwhelming Its form, It shifted, wings sprouting from its back then melting, limbs growing at odd angles, too many joints to make sense, then collapsing. It writhed in on Itself, reformed, then split itself open again. It was making blood curdling sounds It didn’t know It could make, on plains of existence that shuddered away from It. It felt the scurrying of the supernatural beings, fearful animals running from a wildfire of pain sent crashing through the universe itself. The nearest star flickered in sympathy, the oceans pulsed, the air strained under the stress of the energy being thrown out of It.
