Ever since my love for Yoichi was made clear from the first MHA episode introducing him, I’ve scoured every single fic imaginable for the backstory of the Shigarakibros and the One for All Vestiges. I first started this fic when the very first chapter came out, where I enjoyed the grotesque scene of All for Ones birth XD, and assumed it was another great fic regarding the childhood of Zen and Yoichi. But as the chapters progressed and the fic started growing, I realized. It was SO MUCH MORE!!! The CHARACTERIZATION!! The descent into possessive MADNESS from All for One’s point of view was phenomenal, I reread every new chapter EVERY NIGHT!!! Then the Vault arc, the horrificly dark turn it decided to take just made me even more invested. This fic continued to grow, giving such life, such depth, such compelling stories to every aspect of One for Alls journey and of course, Yoichi’s and All for Ones’s story, and I LOVED IT!!! To me, this is my personal canon backstory for One for All, if I ever make a fic myself of the Shigarakibros, it will be right there to give me inspirations <3 <3 <3 Now that it’s finally over, I can finally bookmark it so it won’t be lost, I love “No Light But Mine” it is a must read for any Yoichi and All for One fan out there, and even though it’s 35 chapters long I WISH it could’ve been longer :3333 Thank you ChunkyMill <3
