Summary
In the village of Swaying Forest, a child named Adal is born to commoner parents in a country ruled by a powerful noble class that counts among its ranks warriors of unbelievable destructive magical capability. Adal, however, proves to just be a commoner and, for a period, he thought he would grow up to take after his father and live an average life.
That is until he discovers he could take others' powers for himself, though only at the cost of their lives. From there, those around him can see far into the horizon and see a great new future, though all Adal cares for is the potential to become powerful beyond imagining. Both goals intersect to lead them all into an unknown future that may come at a cost not all are prepared to pay.
