Summary
After the witch trials of 1582, the wizarding world suffered a devastating loss to their magical population. Fourteen years later, a law was introduced to protect the European magical community. Any child born of Muggles exhibiting magic, would be taken from their Muggle families, and raised in an orphanage, until such a time that a magical family chooses to adopt and graft them.
