Roy can only stare back at him. Teach him… what, how to pull? How to fuck? Roy must be dreaming, because there's no way in hell the Jamie Tartt he knows has the bollocks or the self-awareness to ask him for such a thing. Jamie's eyes only seem to get rounder the longer Roy looks at him, as if he's growing more hopeful of a positive answer. That particular delusion snaps Roy out of it. "No. Fuck no. Why the fuck would I wanna do that?"

Because fucking Jamie Tartt is sitting in their treatment room.
Roy has every intention of just turning around and walking away, Until he sees a boot flying across the room, nearly clocking Jamie in the face. Until he sees someone cuffing Jamie upside the head, screaming at him with disappointment and anger.

Summary
If Jamie could spend the rest of his life held in someone’s arms, he would in a heartbeat. Well, he’d need to be let go to play football, he supposes, but the rest of the time would be good enough.
For Roy, touch is just another way to show he cares. He’s fucking shit at words, but he makes up for it in physical contact when he wants to.
And for both of them, touch is something rare and precious. An indulgence. A want. A need. And its absence causes an ache that neither will ever confront.
It'd be a real shame if they just happened to have to.
