Summary
In this universe, hybrids are human-animal mixes that have the ability to freely transform into the animal they're half of. (EX; Snow leopard hybrid can shift into the body of a snow leopard.) All of the hybrids have specific traits that show which half they are, a cat having a tail and ears with pupils that turn slit, or a wolf having ears and a tail with a strong sense of smell, etc.
In this story, the reader is a panther hybrid. Baring many similarities to a panther. Their agility, stealthiness, slit pupils, and a tail and ears. Reader is a hybrid born by natural means(as natural as a breeding program can get). They are a heavily valued resource and known for being a tad sarcastic and sassy- but an absolute machine on the field. For these reasons, she is requested to be the new hybrid for one of Price's men in the 141. Her new handler being Ghost, whos hybrid was recently KIA(killed in action).
Ghost is heavily against getting a new hybrid, he'd never admit to it- But it scared him. He didn't want another creature dying at his hands. Reader hopes to change his mind, and show him they're strong enough to be his hybrid.

Summary
It was just another prank - until Pomni ended up in Jax’s room, and somehow, stuck in his head. What starts with bugs in a pillowcase and a few sarcastic jabs spirals into late-night confessions, "deadly" adventures, and a closeness neither of them expected. Jax isn’t used to caring. Pomni isn’t used to being heard.
Now they’re stuck with each other - and maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
