They had begun to settle into a new shower routine, as much as one can for 6 days. Before the next Full moon, everyone knew something was going to happen. Emotions and anxiety were high from all of them; the Sheriff was short-tempered with his interactions, Max was nearly insufferable, but Laura knew it was his Pre-Moon hormones; when she had called it PMS, he had not spoken for the rest of the day.
The night of the moon brings even more than werewolf changes. Emotions are not the only thing on display, and perhaps Travis doesn't see how invested he was to keeping Laura safe.
