Summary
"Let’s talk after the show."
Right. Well, it’s after the show... and with Gangle dragging a stupid sauced up Zooble back to their room, Kinger wandering back to his fort, and Jax... doing whatever Jax was doing... all that's left of the circus crew are Pomni and Ragatha, standing awkwardly by the tent's main stage after they were all unceremoniously dumped there following The Favorite Character Award show's uncomfortable conclusion. It had been a long day, but Pomni was eager to talk to the ragdoll. And judging from Ragatha’s rigid posture, she was happy to oblige. Ragatha wasn’t sure she’d be able to get a wink of sleep tonight otherwise. She was a bundle of nerves and fiber at the moment, and Pomni could practically feel it.

Summary
Recent events at the circus left the cast emotionally charged, to say the least. The upheaval of your entire world can lead to some complicated feelings. But there were also some good feelings that came out of it, despite it all. One of those good feelings was nurtured by Ragatha's comforting touch. The jester found herself replaying these moments in her mind. The way her soft mitt found its way to her puffy shoulder, the way she'd gently heft her weight to lean into the shorter woman, the way she became the jester's entire world during their hug... but, as normalcy— or as close to "normal" you could get here— returned to the circus, Pomni had quietly picked up on Ragatha's gradual return to her usual orbit around the jester. Just out of reach. And that bothered her.
A reassuring pat to one of Zooble’s many arms, a hand tenderly grasping at Gangle’s ribbon, a big hug goodnight for Kinger— but Ragatha had nothing more than a smile and some finger guns for poor little Pomni. Oh, how that made her stew...

Pomni wants Ragatha to give her another damn hug and Ragatha is like "am I a lesbian????"

Summary
They can't die, as they've all ruminated extensively over, but in that moment Ragatha looks as if she had seen a ghost. The ragdoll's legs feel like they're filled with wet sand instead of their usual mix of beads and cotton, but she wills herself to move regardless. She manages to get about an arm's length away from Pomni as the jester finally meets the hard ground plane. And oh, god, the human sounding crunch of nonexistent bone that resounded when she lands. Pomni makes a winded sound, more shocked than necessarily pained. The ragdoll landed in a heap just beside her, but she's quickly at Pomni's side.
Pomni groans as Ragatha slowly collects her from the ground, cradling the jester in her soft arms.
"What the f%$!# were you thinking?!" Ragatha's uncharacteristically harsh tone hurts her more than the fall.
"I wasn't..." Pomni moans. Oh, she's so f%$!#ing stupid. Ragatha's definitely not laughing now.

The circus crew go on what's supposed to be a nice, relaxing, and (most importantly) short, hiking adventure. Pomni manages to find a way to make it none of those things for Ragatha when she falls out of a tree.

Summary
The chunk was just small enough that they could sidle around it and continue down the hall, and big enough to completely banish one room and one room alone— Ragatha's. Of course. Everyone else's room remained untouched, fortunately. But of course Ragatha's is missing, lost somewhere to the void.
"Don't fret, my sunny little stars!" Caine declares, "I'll have that fixed!" Ragatha and the rest of the circus crew glance up at him floating high above them, waiting for him to go on. "...Eventually!" Caine finally caves to the pressure. "I-I'm not really sure what happened but, uh, I'll have to do some... finagling since my powers aren't as powerful anymore..."
"That's fine," Pomni suddenly chips in brightly, "Ragatha can stay with me in the meantime." Without any hesitation she throws her arm around the ragdoll's waist, pulling her close, glancing up at her with a dopey grin.
Oh, god.

Caine accidentally deletes a chunk of the tent's map, and of course this chunk included Ragatha's room. Pomni's room, thankfully, remains untouched.
