Summary
Fourty hours: flights from Sakhalin to Beijing to Heathrow, then a train back to Liverpool, and apparently it was everyone's first outing at eight pm on a Thursday.
But now, John is finally home. All he has to do is get inside, then he can see his girls again. The short walk up the garden path is harder than it should be, his boots dragging along the pavement, but the soft glow of the living room lights and the promise therein makes it well worth the effort.

Summary
Everyone at work sees Soap: sharp as a tack, able to hit a target with a rock from across a field, and having a complete lack of care about authority. The youngest to pass SAS selection with a corresponding ego.
His partner sees Johnny: sweet, caring, loving Johnny. He lives to hear her laugh, to see her smile at him, to get to help her when her body gives up on her.
Coming home to her is the best part of his job, he thinks. Followed closely by nailing a target across a windy field with a L115A3. And having a commander he knows hates his guts be the one to pin a medal to his chest.
