Summary
Ryland Grace has survived on Erid for over a decade, but the planet’s crushing 2g gravity—combined with years in a coma and long-term nutritional deficiencies—has slowly taken its toll on his human body. As his condition worsens, Rocky’s technologically advanced species continues studying the laptop containing all of Earth’s knowledge in search of a solution. In doing so, they stumble across something unexpected: the early blueprints of the Avatar program.
Or, in other words, an AU of what happens when you give a highly intelligent, engineering-driven alien civilization access to all of humanity’s knowledge… including the Avatar program.
