"…what if next time i’m in charge?” sunoo says. it’s quiet enough that sunghoon almost doesn’t catch it. he lifts his head, brows furrowed.
“huh? you wanna peg me???”
sunoo sighs. “something definitely went wrong when they made you.”[or]
sunoo looks at his boyfriend — pretty and pale and proper, always polite with strangers and soft with the people he loves. he listens to old songs on vinyl, he says thank you to waiters, he bruises easy.

at first, he thought sunghoon hadn’t heard him. his thumb paused mid-scroll, hovering over the phone screen, but his face stayed neutral. then he blinked once. twice. slowly turned his head, as if making sure he hadn’t misheard.
