Summary
Hakuri feels his body grow tense, ready to fight or flee if Yura makes one wrong move. But he doesn't. He sits there, perfectly still, holding eye contact with Hakuri as though he's waiting for something. Then he winks.
“I met your older brother, you know… Soya.” Hakuri feels his heart stop, then race. His lungs seize, and they can both hear the change in his breathing. “Just once, during a meeting with your father. They said he was the strongest of the Tou.”
In, out. In, out. In, out. “I know."
“They were idiots. When I met your brother, I saw immediately that he was weak. He could’ve been strong someday, of course, but you killed him before he got the chance.” Yura pauses, absently dangling the wire of the call button between two fingers. Hakuri watches it, wondering if he could reach it fast enough. Working himself up to try. “Do you know why you were able to do it?”
Yura makes an unexpected appearance, delivering some choice words to Hakuri. It works out exactly how he wants it to.

Summary
“Mr. Shiba,” he half-laughs in relief and drops the fist. “You scared me.” Then Hakuri remembers why he wasn't expecting to see Shiba, and he goes tense again. He looks both ways, but the park is empty of anyone else. There's no point in running. Hakuri thinks about it anyway. “Wait, Mr. Shiba…”
Shiba doesn't let go. In fact, his fingers squeeze a little tighter as he scans Hakuri from head to toe. He doesn't look pleased, but he must be at least satisfied with what he sees.
“Good to see you haven't bit it yet,” he says. “Brace yourself.”
He promised Chihiro that he'd explain someday, and that day comes sooner than expected. Hakuri's wandering feet take him right back to where he's supposed to be, as it turns out.
