Summary
- “You’re telling me my soulmate is some rich CEO?” Takemichi asks. It feels like a terribly executed joke. Takemichi—the man who can barely pay rent, who can barely keep his head above water—and a man who is apparently rich enough to have men driving around in fancy cars and going to Singapore for almost an entire month.
Ran whistles lowly from the front. Chifuyu turns back to face the front of the car. There’s a short beat of awkward silence.
“Kind of,” Kakucho, to his credit, is doing a valiant job of hiding his grimace. -Takemichi has spent years running from his middle school memories and the shadow of Toman. Sometimes you can't escape the past if you want to find the future.

It hits him, for the some thousandth time since they’ve met, how beautiful his soulmate is. “I don’t care if it’s ugly.” -
A month after Mikey and Takemichi find each other has Takemichi realizing that Mikey is hiding things from him. Bloody, work related things. But he refuses to settle for just the good and clean parts of him and Mikey's new life together.

Takemichi stares at it before slowly looking up at Mitsuya.
“It’s Mikey’s birthday. Not mine.”
Mitsuya gives him a flat look with a quirked eyebrow. One that chides without him even having to open his mouth.
“It’s Mikey’s gift.”
