This is too good. I have so many questions about Anne and Phillip and everything, but this is wonderful, and I am willing to wait! I'm in this for the longhaul, however many chapters it will turn out to be! Phillip fencing is magnificent! I love it when some sort of hidden talent gets revealed by a character. This line had me laughing (you might even say, it had me in stitches XD): PHIN & PHIL’S STAB ‘N’ STITCH: ORGANS REMOVED BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES. I adore your dry humor. You write them both so well and that's why you're my favorite TGS author! And this line was absolute perfection: “I said,” Phillip repeats more loudly, “that’s easy for you to say.” How sweet of him to redact 'you hypocritical bastard.'
Honestly, the way you write Phillip and PT's friendship cannot be rivaled by any other author in this fandom! Well done! Also, Phillip coming all the way over to the Barnum house just to get stitched up was wonderful. I loved it, and I loved the smoking as a way to keep from drinking. I can tell this is going to be my favorite story to follow this year!
You're so kind!! I've been so busy the past couple of weeks that comment replies have gone by the board, but be assured that this lifted my spirits the moment I read it! I'm glad you appreciate the humour (and good one yourself XD) - I've found banter and so forth the easiest way to plumb the depths of this particular relationship without an excess of canon material to work with. To be fair to the movie, it was rather busy with its many different tangents, which is probably why I love expanding on them all in fanfiction.
