    Re: Hinata— I completely agree. (It's not quite a spoiler, since he isn't even listed as a character, but Naruto is not going to have a large role in this story.) Hinata is one of my favorite female characters for the sheer potential she had, so it's gonna be fun to explore that. And as for Tadashi's little display of violence— his whole mindset in that moment is "you're supposed to be the same age as me, why are you acting like this??" Aka, he recognizes the fact that kids are immature and reckless, but still doesn't quite connect that to the fact that /he/ is technically much more mature than them and shouldn't be held to the same standards. All he sees is "someone who seems to be the same age as me, so they should act like me".

    Re: Tadashi and Ensui— it's really interesting to write these little parts, since it's basically Tadashi warring against his childish instincts that demand his father stay with him all the time. He came from an environment that demanded kids to have a sense of responsibility very early on, so he struggles with those learned habits now. And Shikamaru is one of the most heavily-featured characters in the story, so we'll be able to see a lot of their interaction!! :)

    I will happily admit that I'm using Tadashi to vent a little about the issues that I'm passionate about. He /is/ an SI, after all! ;)
