    I love this but im confused is there a typo? If you plead guilty there is no trial.

      you’re right! in most cases you would immediately be sentenced after pleading guilty. however, in the summary, it is stated that the governments wanted to make an example out of light. as such, it’s mentioned a couple times that this trial is basically a circus case, which is why it doesn’t follow proper courtroom etiquette at all. needless to say, it didn’t go as expected.
