      Probably because Kagami is the person that can befriend Marinette and ignore Chloe's threat due her own position.
      And she could be an strong ally to Cheshire.

        Not to mention Adrien seriously screwed over his chances at romance. Metaphor is about shooting oneself on the foot, exept Adrien used blowtorch. I think. What would be worse than getting shot in the foot?
