Comment on Dear Diary

  1. Oh my goodness, i absolutely ADORED this fic.
    Not only is it so well written, it's also beautiful and realistic, and the characterization is spot on!
    Most drarry fics have Harry and Draco just... Getting on, you know? I think the thing that made me love this as much as i do was the fact that you actually made Harry and Draco tackle things personally and talk them out, and it's amazing that you made it happen! Because i definitely can see that happening and i WANT it to happen!! I'm probably not making much sense but thank you so much for giving them the chance to discuss their issues. I've never actually read that before in a drarry fic, but after this i realize how important it is and how much some author's are missing out! (though i extremely appreciate their stories - i just found yours perfect.)

    "I love you," Draco blurted out.

    THAT PART MADE ME SO!!!!! I LOVE THIS FIC SO MUCH GODDAMMIT!!!! YOU ARE SO GIFTED!

    I also have to admit that, while I'm all for detailed kissing and even smut, haha, your fanfic was so amazing that you didn't even have to put in a single smooch for me to feel extremely satisfied.
    I really hope you continue to write Harry Potter fanfiction, because you're so perfect at it. I'm probably going to stay up reading some of your other fics.. I rarely ever bookmark but this is going in there for a definite future reread. You have such a talent.
    I hope you're having a good day!!

    1. Holy JKR, what an amazing comment! I feel like a thousand butterflies are on fire and dancing in my chest. :D I've been having a bad spell of depression the last couple of weeks (not related to fandom or writing or anything, just, you know), and your comment is just such a kindness, I want to cry reading it. ;___;

      I'm a very long-time Drarry shipper, but the lack of seriously discussed resolution of all their past issues is probably my biggest pet peeve from a lot of postwar fics, even the really beautiful, amazing ones I otherwise love to pieces. It's all well and good for the boys to decide they've outgrown petty fighting and deciding to start over, but man, they have years of some serious antagonism to work through that isn't going to just resolve itself overnight, y'know? I feel like I do it pretty poorly myself in fanfiction because I'm trying to keep the story to a manageable length that isn't bogged down by emotional drama, but I do try, so I'm glad that it came through! Man... this is why I have a 900,000 word Drarry RP where Harry and Draco are still arguing over their history and issues and who was more wrong when, and which factors can be laid to rest and which they still feel strongly enough to argue about. XD
      Thank you, thank you so much! Your comment seriously made my month!
