Thank you so much!! I'm glad to hear my characterization of Bede (as well as my use of language - always a bonus in my book as a writer) is so enjoyable :Dc
And hmmm good questions! I feel like, to Bede, his most important Pokemon is his Hattarene which is the Pokemon he got from Rose as a child (if we're assuming his highest level Pokemon is the one he obtained from Rose). Bede treats it like the closest thing he has to a younger sibling and loves his Hattarene deeply. In return, Hattarene is very loving of him and protective of him and is fiercely loyal to Bede as its master.
Bede's Rapidash is the first Pokemon he caught on his own and wasn't gifted to him by Rose (As his Solosis and Gothorita were). He's very fond and protective of it and hesitates to use it in battle because it's his youngest Pokemon of the bunch and he basically thinks of it akin to being a child he's adopted. When Bede isn't off and away on being a Gym Challenger/training to be Gym Leader/doing his duties as gym leader he always takes the time to play with his Ponyta, coddling the thing to bits and pieces and spoiling it to the point it's pretty much his pampered pet. He often takes rides on Rapidash too which always excites his Rapidash because it /loves/ to tote its master around to different places.
Bede has mixed feelings towards Solosis and Gothorita because they were neither his first Pokemon nor his first caught Pokemon and they don't fit into his fairy theme. They also remind him of the bad things about Rose and, while he doesn't fault the poor things for what happened to him, being around them reminds him of things he wants to forget. He loves them but eventually realizes their presence is hurting him and that he, in turn, his harming them emotionally by keeping his distance. Eventually, he passes them on to a gym challenger who takes interest in them, letting them live happier lives with that person instead of stuck with him as a mess of a person.
As for his other pokemon, I just know he has a Sylveon and I don't know the others but I would like to say that Bede treats his fairy-type Pokemon really well and spoils them almost as rotten as he does Ponyta. However, he also is very strict with them to ensure they do their job as the Pokemon of a professional gym leader and, while he spoils them, he does keep them on a training regiment and builds a bond with them through teamwork exercises to keep them all in good health.
In the future, I think Bede would be a calm and cunning gym leader who likes to push any challengers to their limits. He very much likes analyzing those who challenge him and helping to guide them if he notices any problematic flaws in their personality or character. He very much continues Opal's shtick of being a passive-aggressive gym leader with a flare for quizzes and he's often the first to speak his mind at any gym leader meetings that occur. However, Bede is also kind in his own rough way and has a bad tendency to wander away to explore the region, stretch his wings, and do his best to help those in need. He often seems to neglect his gym duties but in reality he actually is always on top of them - so much so that he has too much free time on his hands to spare, lol. He is very passionate about fairy type Pokemon, however, and will positively not shut up about them if you get him going on the subject. Please don't ask him about fairy types. The Champion and every gym leader in Galar will positively hate you for it if you do and they're in the room with you gfjhgfj
