Baby was focused on activating the backup plan. It was his way of dealing (or not having to deal) with what had just happened. Romance was in shock and Baby had to hold it together and think for the both of them.
Of course they would bump body parts even as the world ends! Sex is always the answer (at least in my stories 🤣🤣🤣).
