basically (i could be wrong) yjh hired PIs to look for his parents cuz he is an orphan and to discover the truth about his origin. Mia, according to the side story and my interpretation, seemed to have delayed speech + malnutrition because there was only Yoo Joonghyuk, who didn't speak much but tried his best anyway through children handbooks that he could obtain. But he couldn't be with her all the time, hence the speech impediment. Yoo Joonghyuk's trauma is being stuck in a dark basement and farming in game currencies for money. And i think boosting accounts, which is illegal in SK. But he barely earned anything from that before being recruited into an esports team Ash. Even then, he was facing abuse because he was too stiff in his gameplay and was continually being exploited (he has god tier mechanic tho). Also, he seemed to be experiencing carpal tunnel and malnutrition while all that is happening.
