WHAT IS MARKGEMMA WEEK?

Markgemma Week is an online event that celebrates the characters Mark and Gemma Scout, from the TV show Severance, exploring their marriage as well as all the possible combinations between their innies (Mark S, Ms. Casey and the rest of her innies).
Fans of Markgemma are encouraged to participate and unleash their imagination.

The Markgemma Week will take place from April 27th to May 3rd.

HOW DOES THIS EVENT WORK?

• You can use the prompts offered as you please, not necessarily according to the day they belong to.
• Main prompts and Fancam prompts can be used interchangeably.
• You do not need to follow the prompts to participate. New Markgemma content is always welcome.
• NSFW content is allowed, but please tag/flag accordingly.
• Except WIP, existing fan art prior to this event will not be shared on the event’s sites
• Your creations have to be posted within the Markgemma Week. (see date above)
• Plagiarism and AI are not allowed, nor is bashing. Have a gentle way about this, like Ms. Casey!

WHAT ARE THE PROMPTS?

• Day 1 - Spring/Winter.
• Day 2 – Innie/outie: Ms. Casey, Mark S., and other permutations.
• Day 3 – Absence/Presence.
• Day 4 – History.
• Day 5 – Literature.
• Day 6 – Reunion.
• Day 7 – “Turn around and bend over.” (spicy times!)

Fancam Prompts:

• Day 1. "Where Did You go?" Gemma and Mark S.
• Day 2. "Who are you?" Mark and Ms. Casey/her inines.
• Day 3 – Choreography and Merriment: Use an Instrumental song.
• Day 4 - “что это?” (“What’s that?”): Use a song in a language other than English.
• Day 5 - "Spoiler alert, please!": Markgemma meets literature adaptations (e.g. Markgemma as classics, mythology, romcoms, etc.)
• Day 6 – Chikhai bardo: Use no music, just a dialogue or monologue (it can be from the show or not)
• Day 7 - Free Markgemma!: Use a song and prompt of your choice.

Remember that you are free to use fancam prompts to write a fic or to make another kind of fan art, and vice versa.

WHERE AND HOW CAN I SHARE MY POSTS?

• Use the hashtag #MarkgemmaWeek on Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. (@MarkgemmaW)
• On AO3, just add your work to the collection by clicking on it or through Associations and typing MarkgemmaWeek into the ' Post to Collections/Challenges' textbox, then click on 'Post'. In any case, use the Markgemma Week tag alongside your usual tags to cover all bases.
• Not on AO3? Just share the link to your work by posting it with #MarkgemmaWeek on your socials.

1. You can add your work(s) to this collection from April 15th until May,15th. (Exception made only for fan fiction. Other fan art must be submitted during the Markgemma Week). Nevertheless, no sharing links to your work allowed until the event takes place, for the collection will be moderated prior to the fan event. This is just in case you'd like to post a work in progress or to have your fics ready in the collection.

2. To avoid spam comments from bots, we strongly encourage you to allow comments from registered users only in your works.
3. Anonymous works are not allowed, and they will be deleted from the collection. We are proud Markgemma shippers!
4. Add and tag content only pertinent to the ship we are celebrating and their innies, meaning that the main focus, romance, etc., must be Mark and Gemma and their permutations.
5.WIPs are allowed in case of fan fiction only. Fancams and drawings should be new for the Markgemma Week.
6. Even though you are welcome to add your fancams to this collection, they will be mostly shared through Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram.
7. Be respectful in the comments.
9. In the same line, the moderator reserves the right to delete from this collection any fic that feels disingenuous or that infringes these rules.
