Jungkook and Hanie were staring back at him, faces adorn with shy smiles. They made their way closer to Jimin. He could smell their combined scents Oranges and Sweet cream. It had his alpha going crazy. Why did it feel like everything was finally in its rightful place?
“Jungkook! Hanie! What are you doing here?” The other asked, closing the gap. “I didn’t know you would be back so soon. Or if you would come at all.” He hesitated. He wanted to hug them but he didn't know if that was appropriate. The alpha face showed a warm smile though.
Hanie suddenly jumped into his arms, surprising the alpha. Jimin moved her comfortably to his front. Jimin’s arms were around her and she was leaning back looking him in the eyes. “I came to see my horse.” She giggled. “How is Petal? Can we go see her?”
“Hanie, you can’t just jump out of my arms, baby. What if he didn’t catch you. You could have gotten hurt.” Jungkook said.
“Oh it’s okay. I missed her too.” Jimin said shyly as he nuzzled into her neck. “Why don’t we go inside and put your things down and we will go see Petal.”
They head inside and Hanie goes straight for the room they had last time. “Wait baby!” Jungkook called her back. “Jimin, is that room available? Do you have any other guests this week?” He asked.
“I do have guests here now but your room is open. They are leaving in 2 days. Then the Inn is empty for the rest of the week.” He smiled. Still having a hard time believing they were really here.
Haneul quickly throws her stuff down and waits for him by the door. “I’m ready!” She shouts.
Jimin looks at her with a soft smile. “Let’s go then. Lead the way.” He says. Opening the door as she rushes past him.
Jungkook trailed right behind them. His omega was delighted watching them interact. His scent was a little sweeter as he caught up to them. Hanie shrieked when she saw her.
“Look how pretty she is, Appa. I want to pet her.” She shouted jumping up and down. “Can I ride her too?” she asked excitedly.
“No I’m sorry baby she can’t be ridden for a couple years. But I do have to work with her. Do you want to help me while you're here?” He asked.
“Please can I?” She questions dancing around in a circle.
“Of course tomorrow we will do the chores together.” He promises. Rubbing her head.
Jungkook watched his baby girl she looked so happy and alive. Why is it that her eyes shine here at the ranch? Why does her light go dim in the city?
The air was sweet around them, but then turned sour. Jimin looked to see a worried expression on Jungkook's face. He wondered what the other was thinking about.
Jimin being able to smell the other. He took that as a good sign. That Jungkook must feel comfortable around him. He really wanted to get closer. His alpha was screaming to comfort him in some sort of way. But all he could do for now was release calming pheromones.
Jungkook picked up on the leather scent and instantly relaxed. Jimin saw his shoulders relax and his face had a warm smile.
“So how have you been these past couple months?” Jimin asked as they walked back to the Inn.
“I’m doing good. I've been busy working.” Jungkook said. “I’m always working it seems. That’s what I learned from our last visit. But I have a secret.” He whispered covering his mouth with his index finger..
“Oh what is that?” The alpha asked with curious eyes.
“I've had a shift with in my spirit since we were here last.” He whispered. "My omega has been playful and happy once more." He blushed.
Jimin raised his brows. “I’m glad to hear that.” The Alpha smirked at him. Walking side by side, hands gently brushing past one another. “What do you think caused this shift?” He asked, turning to face him.
Jungkook could smell leather and birch wood, a lovely combination. The alpha's scent was drawing him closer. Jungkook had to hold back a whimper.
“Maybe a certain someone showed me it was okay to slow down and enjoy the things around me.” He said softly.
“Well they must be a wise person then. He must have really had an impression on you.” The alpha snickered.
The omega looked at him with a smile. He had forgotten just how much he liked this alpha. He had only been back a few minutes and he was already smitten. Willing to do anything. Hanie was right there though. Now was not a great time to get horny. He needed to wait until she was in bed at least.
When they reached the Inn Jimin had to prepare dinner for everyone. So that gave Jungkook time to settle down.
Jungkook and Hanie went to their room and unpacked. She danced around singing to herself. Happy to be back at the ranch. “Appa can you believe how pretty my horse is?” She says as she plays on the bed. “I wish she was big enough to ride though. I want to be the first to ride her.” She whines. "Do you think he will wait and let me be the first to ride her?" She asked innocently.
“Oh well, maybe you can ride her one day, baby. But I don't know about being the first. Right now she is just too small and her bones are fragile to hold any weight.” Jungkook tried to explain.
Soon it was time for dinner and they joined the other guests to eat. The nice couple were just here to rest and enjoy the scenery. They loved horses in their youth and thought it would be fun to stay at the Inn. The couple fell in love with Hanie. Of course she was quite entertaining tonight. She put on quite a show. Her sass was on another level. Jungkook thought she might be showing off to get Jimin’s attention. The alpha didn't join them tonight. He claimed he had things to do. Jungkook had to scold her for sassing too much. Something he didn’t like to do.
When they finished dinner Jungkook excused them and went to give her a bubbly bath and snuggle her into bed. He gave her Mr Wiggles and she fell asleep fast. They had a long day of traveling and both were quite tired. After she was asleep he took a shower and changed into some comfy clothes. The Inn was quiet and he wondered if Jimin had already gone upstairs for the night. He caught himself with a pout on his face and a sour trail following behind him. He really wanted to spend some time with Jimin. So he decided to quietly open the door and see if he was still downstairs. The omega didn’t see him anywhere. He deflated a little bit. He would have to wait until tomorrow to see him again. He turned to go back to his room with his head hung low. Just then he felt a warmth behind him, the fresh scent of leather surrounding him. Jimin was close.
“I’m glad you came back.” Jimin whispered. He was following his alpha’s lead. Jungkook didn’t move away so he continued. Jimin gently touched his waist which made the omega suck in a breath.
“Is this okay?” The alpha asked. Sweet oranges burst around them.
“Mhm” Jungkook mumbled, leaning back into his touch. Now his back was pressing up against the other's chest.
Jimin circled his hands all the way around his flat tummy, locking his fingers together. They just stood there for a while enjoying each other’s touch and scents. “Do you want to move to the couch? It’s a little more comfortable” Jimin suggested.
The couch was soft and cozy as Jungkook sunk into it. They continued to talk, getting to know each other better. Jungkook wanted to be close. He was practically sitting in his lap. Jimin didn’t mind of course.
“We never really discussed our ranks before. It doesn't really matter to me but I’m an Alpha in case you couldn’t tell.” Jimin blushed.
Jungkook turned a couple shades of pink. “I can tell now that we are not on blockers.” He said shyly. “I am an omega as you can guess.”
Jimin smiled he was so happy. His alpha was proud that they had this amazing omegas attention. How did he get so lucky? After that they sat in silence for a bit, Jimin couldn't help but ask.
“Sorry if this is too intrusive for us. Just meeting only a short time ago but, Hanie's father. Is he still in her life? Your life?” He questioned timidly.
Jungkook’s scent turned sour. Cloves strongly filled the air, burning Jimin's nose. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to upset you. You don’t need to answer. Forget I even asked. It's none of my business.” Jimin panicked, rubbing his arms gently.
“It’s okay, I would have to talk about it eventually.” He said looking down at the floor. jungkook took a deep breath in and blew it out, steadying his racing heart. “I had a mate and her Appa. He was a great man. He died about a year and a half ago from a sudden stroke.” The omega said through watery eyes. “The first time we stayed here. It was a way to kinda start over, you know. Everyday had become the same. Work work work. We just wanted to have a good time. Hanie was obsessed with horses so we ended up here.” He blushed. “I’m so glad we did. I think fate brought us here.” He whispered not meeting the alpha’s eyes.
“I believe fate worked for us as well. I've never been in a relationship. My life has always been focused on work. I never had the time. But after you left all I could think about was you and Hanie.” He admitted.
This made Jungkook’s heart swell knowing that Jimin was also feeling the same about them.
“I also have experienced loss in my life at a young age, Maybe I can share it with you sometime but not tonight it’s too late.” Jimin said.
Jungkook’s nose twitched at the smoky tobacco filling the air around them. He turned to look at Jimin and saw the pain in his eyes. Trying to change the subject and lighten the mood he asked. “So what do we do now?”
“I guess we can spend this week getting to know each other. We both know we feel something right?” Jimin asked.
Jungkook nodded his head blushing prettily. Soon Jungkook was leaning his head on Jimin’s shoulder. He was exhausted after the long day. He didn’t want to go to sleep though. He quietly covered his mouth while Yawning. Jimin noticed and said they should call it a night. But the omega whined and protested. “I’m not tired.” He muttered, his eyes slipping closed.
“Come on, you sound like Hanie." He chuckled. "You had a long drive to get here. Go on to bed. I will still be here tomorrow. I’m not going anywhere.” He laughs.
Jungkook sighs heavily and finally agrees. He takes a moment to look at the alpha, memorizing the other’s face. Jimin held out his hands and pulled the omega to his feet. He gave him a long hug. Jungkook melted into his touch. When they parted he took off to his room. He fell into bed and snuggled up to Hanie and passed out. He had the most beautiful dream that night. He was surrounded by the alphas leather scent mixed with hints of sweet cream. They were standing out by the back fence. Together they were watching Hanie. She was riding Petal on her own for the first time. Hanie was giggling beaming with pride. “Appa look at me!" she squealed. "I’m doing it! I'm riding her.” Jungkook was calling out to her. “Yes you are baby I'm so proud of you.” When he suddenly woke up. He had the biggest smile on his face. She was still sleeping at his side. He watched her and thought about the dream. What would it mean if they made it? If they become a family in the future. He kissed her head and made his way to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
While Jungkook was getting ready Haneul woke up and patted her way to the bathroom after her Appa. “Good morning Appa.” She said as she rubbed her eyes with her tiny fists.
“Morning baby. Did you sleep well?” He asked.
“Yes Appa.” She said as she looked down at the floor.
“What’s wrong baby?’” He asked as he squatted down at her level.
Her eyes were glassy and her bottom lip wobbled. “I’m sorry” She stuttered. “For last night. That’s no a way for a Jeon to act.” She mumbled. “I didn’t mean to embarrass you Appa.” She reached out for him hoping he wouldn’t turn her away.
“Aww baby” He said as he pulled her into a tight hug. “I was a little surprised but I could never be mad at you. Thank you for apologizing. It takes a big girl to do that. You are my big girl right?” He asked, scenting her lightly.
“Uh huh.” She said, after being scented thoroughly she mumbled. “Let's get dressed, I'm ready to eat and see Jimin again.”
Jungkook snickered at her antics but couldn’t agree more. He was ready to see Jimin too. He had to remember that they were not alone, that Jimin had house guests. When they reached the table Jimin had almost finished breakfast. The other couple was not at the table yet.
“Good morning, how did you two sleep?'' Jimin asked as he placed the juice on the table.
“I had an amazing sleep.” Jungkook said as he blushed, recalling his dream.
“I slept like a baby.” Hanie called out. Making both boys laugh looking at each other then back to her.
By the time he had everything at the table the couple had taken their place at the table. “Good morning.” They greet each other with a warm smile. Everyone began to eat, Jimin didn’t stay, he had a full day's work around the ranch today.
“When you finish you can find me outside.” He told Jungkook and Hanie.
She was bouncing happily eating a piece of bacon as fast as she could. “I’m ready now, can I go with you?” She said, with her mouth stuffed full with bacon. “Please”
“Ask you Appa. It's okay with me.” Jimin said, smiling down at the little girl. “You’re going to be my helper today right?”
She nodded happily, swallowing her last bite. Wash it down with juice.
“It’s okay baby go ahead I will be out soon.” Jungkook tells her.
Jungkook goes back to the room to freshen up. He makes sure he smells good and he looks his best. Then he finds the pair already hard at work. He walked further into the barn. Listening to the two talking back and forth. Jungkook couldn’t help but smile. Hanie was asking all these important questions that a four year old must know. Jimin took the time to answer them all. They were working on feeding the horses when Jungkook made his presence known. Jimin could smell his sweet scent before he actually saw him.
“Hi” The alpha said as the omega got closer. “Do you want to come and help us too?” He asked.
Jungkook has never been exposed to horses, only what little they did on their last trip. He didn’t really pet them or care for them last time he was here. So he was nervous to say the least. He I didn't want to mess this up. Especially in front of the alpha who knows it all. But now was his chance right? To experience what it is like with the help of someone who knows what to do. So he agrees and walks over to where the alpha waits for him. Jimin was gently brushing Cotton. He has the omega stand in front of him. Right this moment Jungkook was at a loss for words. He had two powerful forces at play. One he had a beautiful, strong, powerful beast in front of him. Which made him feel small in a weird positive way. The second was a warm, strong, protective presence supporting him from the back side. Jimin slowly ran his fingers down Jungkook’s right arm sending fire in its wake until he reached his hand. Once there he slowly intertwined their fingers. The omega was lost in the touch. He couldn't see the others' faces but thrived off the sensations. He finally looked down at their joined hands and loved the sight. The alpha was holding onto his waist with the other hand. Jungkook could swear he felt Jimin's heart beating against his back. Jimin raised their hands and gently stroked Cotton's neck. Jungkook could feel the soft hair beneath his palm, Cotton’s skin twitched at the sensation.
“Wow!” That's all Jungkook could think. This beautiful majestic being was stilled under his soft touch. It was like Cotton was speaking to him as they stroked him. He instantly relaxed as well. Standing next to him and looking him in the eyes made him see things in a new perspective. He began to let go of the last tendrils of control. Truly surrendering to freedom from his past. They spent several minutes just continuing the even strokes with each one Jungkook became a little more confident.
Jungkook was tingling all over from the close proximity to the Alpha and his heavenly scent. The forgotten sensation was a bit overwhelming but he missed being touched,
Hanie was talking away to Petal like she was her long lost friend. Everything was perfect.
Jimin was whispering sweet words to Cotton as they continued to pat and rub him down but Jungkook couldn’t help but think they were meant for him. Spoken over his shoulder right into his ear it sent a shiver down the omegas spine. Standing his hairs on end. He started to feel the dampness of slick forming between his cheeks, Jimin’s nostrils flared, tightening his grip on the omega. Jungkook panicked and tried to pull away, embarrassed that this little show of affection had caused this type of reaction in his omega.
“Don’t go, it's okay.” Jimin whispered in Jungkook’s ear.
“This is so embarrassing.” he says squirming in his embrace. “One simple touch and look at me acting like a teenager.” He said covering his face with his free arm.
“Listen, I feel the same way.” Jimin said as he pulled Jungkook back against him tighter so Jungkook could feel his hard length against his ass. “See I’m turned on too.”
“But we have Hanie.” Jungkook whined, eyes rolling back as Jimin held them in place.
“I have an idea. My Appa wants to meet both of you. I can invite him over to have dinner and after he can watch her. He is a great man. We can go upstairs to my house if you want? If you are not ready for that we can go out for a real date somewhere” Jimin mumbled. “It won't solve our problem right now but what do you say?” Jimin asked.
“I would be stupid to say no. I want to but more importantly my omega is begging me to.” Jungkook said quietly. “Fate is very sure about us.” He huffed in a playful manner no matter when or where it seemed.
Hanie finished talking to Petal and they moved on to the other horses and once they all were fed and watered they let them out for the day. Hanie was like a golden ray of sunshine full of life and giggles. Jimin’s alpha already wanted her as his own. He would give his life for her. How that bond had happened so fast he didn’t know but it had. Jimin was really really afraid of how his alpha would react when they left this time. Even though they may like each other, Jungkook's home was in South Dakota. Would they relocate for him? God he hoped so. The rest of the day passed by quickly and after Jimin had finished their dinner he went up to his room to call his Appa and invite him to dinner tomorrow since the couple would be leaving in the morning. He agreed and said he looked forward to meeting them.
They didn’t get to spend much more time together that night as Jungkook spent it with Hanie getting her bathed and ready for bed. His omega was giddy that they would have alone time the rest of the week with the alpha. He was ready to continue what they started earlier today. He hoped that Hanie would take well to Jimin’s Appa so they could have some alone time.
The next morning they woke up and breakfast was ready and everyone ate together then the couple were on their way.
“Yes now I don’t have to be on my best behavior.” Hanie sighs exhaustively. Holding the back of her hand to her forehead. Both men burst into laughter.
“Is being good so hard Hanie?” Jungkook asked.
“Yes appa I just want to be a kid.” She said as she twirled around her pink dress spun out with her hands to the sky. “Those people were always watching me.” She pouted.
Jungkook crouched down and whispered in her ear. “What will you do if we become a family huh? In the future we will have guests in our home all the time.” He tickled her until she fell to the floor laughing.
“I will behave if I have to Appa but it's nice to be just with the both of you.” She said when she caught her breath. “Now let’s go take care of the horses.” She cheered. Jungkook had always adored his baby girl but now in her pink dress and little boots she was definitely a force to be reckoned with.
They spent the day doing the chores and playing together. Later that evening Minguk came over for dinner. He brought her a special gift. A beautiful rocking horse. It was hand carved by Minguk.
“Appa, You have been working on that thing for years. I didn’t know you had been saving it for a time like this.” Jimin cried. Looking at Jungkook and Haneul.
Jungkook stood in shock. “Oh no we can’t take this.” He tried to say. “It’s much too valuable.”
Haneul stood with her big doe eyes shining bright.. “Can I ride it now?” She begged, trying to climb over the back of the horse. She struggled and couldn’t quite get her leg over.
“It’s for Haneul I promise. She can ride it.” Minguk said again.
“Hold on baby let me help you.” Jungkook said. Still unsure about the whole thing. “Mr Park, you really didn’t need to bring such a special gift.”
Jungkook felt awkward taking something so valuable. They didn’t even know each other.
“Nonsense if my son loves you then I do too.” He said, patting his shoulder.
“APPA” He said, shooting him a death glare.
“What” Minguk faked innocence. Amused at the whole situation in front of him.
Jungkook just blushed and watched Hanie rock back and forth wildly with the biggest grin on her face. The horse had reigns and long hair. A perfect saddle and stirrups for her tiny feet to go in. It really was a beautifully crafted wooden horse. It didn't take long and Hanie took right to Minguk like she knew him all her life.
While they ate they told stories. Minguk could tell from this short time together why his son was so attached to the Omega and pup. They really were sweet and funny. He watched his son. He had never seen him look so content and in love before. Minguk was so happy for him. He had a moment where he wished Yu-jun could see him now. But he knew that thinking wouldn’t do either one of them any good. So he brushed off those thoughts and regained the conversation.
When they finished dinner they went outside to the swings to watch the sunset. While they were swinging Hanie sat in Minguk's lap and they talked back and forth. Jimin and Jungkook were sitting together in the other swing. After a few minutes Jimin slowly worked his fingers into Jungkook’s hand. It felt nice that Jungkook's hand was larger than his so it covered it nicely. Both their scents mixed just a little stronger in the air around them. Soon the stars came out and Jungkook laid his head down on Jimin’s shoulder. They rocked back and forth enjoying the night air and the crystal clear sky. The stars were so bright tonight.
“I think the stars came out for us tonight.” Jungkook whispered. He snuggled in a little tighter to Jimin’s side.
Jimin squeezed his waist.“They are beautiful. But not as pretty as you.” He whispered in the omegas ear. They continued to swing and enjoy the evening, “This is nice.” He mumbled.
“Yeah it is but it's getting late. I think it's time to get Hanie to bed.” Jungkook said.
“Appa, once she is settled can you listen for her so we can spend a little time together?” Jimin asked.
“Sure. I will just stay here tonight..” He said.
The omega was so comfortable he didn’t want to get up. But he knew he needed to give her a bath and put to bed. The whole time she kept talking about Minguk. As far as she was concerned they both belonged to her now Jimin, Minguk, hell Petal too. Jungkook shook his head at the thought. He loves his baby girl so much. He wouldn’t know what to do without her. The omega helped her out of the bath and dried her off then brushed her hair. She put on her jammies and crawled into bed. Jungkook gave her Mr Wiggles and pulled the covers up tight. He kissed her goodnight and rubbed her back until she fell asleep. Then he slipped out of the room and looked for the Alpha. He found Jimin waiting on the couch with a warm fire going. He had a bottle of wine chilling on the table with a snack platter and some soft pillows and blankets to cuddle up in.
"Jimin, this is beautiful." He said "I can't believe you did all this for me."
"I want my Omega to be comfortable and spoiled. Is it too much too soon?" He asked.
"No I love it and so does my omega. He is purring like crazy." He whispered as he sat next to the Alpha.
The alpha poured two glasses of wine and handed one to Jungkook. They both took a few sips. Jimin offered some cheese cubes and apple slices drizzled in caramel. Once they had their fill they placed down the empty glasses.
"I know me and my alpha are crazy for you. I told you before that I have never been in a relationship. I don't know if I would move this fast normally but I feel this deep connection with you already." He said confidently as he leaned in to breathe in his sweet scent. It was filling the air.
Jungkook must have felt the same way. The alpha continued to nose up and down the side of his neck. Taking in big breaths getting lost in the process. Jungkook let his head fall to the side to allow more access. The omega brought his hand up and began to rub the alphas leg. He had to touch something. Jimin began to lightly kiss his neck earning a soft moan out of the other.
"Keep going. Feels so good." He murmurs "It's been so long." Jungkook whined, his eyes were closed as he purred loudly.
As Jimin continued to scent and explore the omegas neck he moved his position. “Can I sit on your lap?” Jimin asked. The omega tried to nod and answer but his words were caught in his throat. Jimin moved and slid over his thighs where he wrapped his arms around his neck.
“Hello” Jimin smiled down at the omega.
Jungkook smiled back, he was endeared by the alpha, he was nothing like his lost mate. Jimin was soft and playful much like an alpha in his youth. His body was strong he could tell from the hard labor of working the ranch. But his life was simple, not fast paced and full of expensive things.
Once Jimin shifted spots onto the omegas lap. Jungkook really liked the feeling of weight on his lap. Jimin went back to kiss his scent gland and gave it a lick before sucking the flesh into his mouth. Not too harshly he didn't know if he wanted to be marked so he didn't want to upset him. They hadn't talked about that yet and he knew he once had a mate. He wanted to respect Jungkook and whatever bond / memory they still might have before he took over that position. The whole time the omega was putty in his hands. When Jimin was done thoroughly scenting him they both sighed out in pleasure. They were both aroused but tonight was more about letting his omega and alpha connect. Than being physically intimate. They would make time for that later.
"Do you want to lay down and snuggle for a while?" Jimin asked. "It's nice here by the fire. You could make us a nest if you wanted." Jimin whispered, suddenly feeling shy.
"Could we sleep here all night?" The omega asked.
Jimin laughed. "I don't mind but what if Hanie wakes up scared during the night?"
"We can just leave the door open. If she sees the door open and I'm not there she will come look for me." He said "I don't want to leave you." He pouted.
"Okay, I will open the door and check on her. You set up the nest.” The alpha suggested.
The omega nodded and got to work arranging the blankets and pillows. He sniffed each one loving the leather smell that seemed to linger on them just for him. It reminded him of home. In his line of work. The new furniture clients would often get was made of leather. He always loved the clean fresh smell before but now even more. When Jimin came back he could see Jungkook was clearly not happy with the pillows arrangement. He huffed and rubbed his face thinking what could be missing before he frantically started working on it again. Jimin watched him fondly until he had it just right. Jungkook hummed in satisfaction. "Perfect," he said.
Now that the nest was ready Jungkook welcomed Jimin to lay with him. Even though this place was Jimins and the things were his, it was still made by Jungkook and he knew a nest was very special for omegas. Truth be told this will be Jimin's first time in a nest and he is a little nervous. He wants to do this right.
Jungkook felt valued and respected by alpha. He knew if they became a family he would make a great father and mate one day. Jimin laid down and got in a comfortable spot and opened his arms for the omega to snuggle up to him. The omega laid down by his side. He laid his head on the alphas chest and one leg was thrown over Jimin's waist. The alpha had his free arm over the omegas hip securing him into place. Jungkook could hear rumbling beneath his ear "He must be happy" Jungkook thought. They laid there in each other's arms basking in the warmth and scent high until they fell asleep.
Jungkook didn't know what time it was but the light was just beginning to shine through the windows when he heard the loud shrill. "Appa! you had a sleepover without me?" She yelled startling them both awake.
Jimin panicked sitting up abruptly. He had forgotten his surroundings.
"Hanie you can't just yell like that baby. You scared Jimin." He laughed. As he tried to comfort the alpha still rubbing his face.
"Oh it's okay. I just wasn't expecting it." He stuttered out embarrassed by his reaction.
"I'm sorry about that. She can be a little dramatic." The omega sighed.
"Come here Haneul and apologize." Jungkook said.
"Okay Appa." She said as she climbed into the nest with them and Jungkook hugged her tight.
"What do you say?" He asked her.
"Sorry Jimin I didn't mean to scare you." She whispered. "I just can't believe you didn't let me sleep here with you too." She pouted. "I give the best cuddles right Appa?"
"You do baby girl but you were already asleep and I didn't want to wake you." He tried to console her.
Jimin hugged her and kissed her head letting her know it was alright. "What do you want to do today?" Jimin asked her as she laid in between them.
"After we care for the horses, are there any parks near here so I can play?" She asked.
"Of course that sounds like a great idea. We can have a picnic lunch at the park." Jimin said.
Jimin got up and made breakfast. Soon Minguk woke up and joined them out in the kitchen. "How was your night?" He asked playfully.
"It was great but could you stay the night again tonight please?" Jimin asked him. "We want a little more time to ourselves. We will go up to my house tonight." He stated.
"Alright alright you don't have to beg. I would love to spend time with my future granddaughter. What should we do tonight?" He asked the little girl. "We can do anything you would like."
"Already spoiling her I see? This could get out of hand." Jimin laughed. "He always wanted babies to love and play with. I was always too focused on my career though."
"Well we will take all the love we can get. It has been a rough couple of years for us. Her other grandparents are not in the picture now. After their son passed they said they had to move. The memory was too painful for them." Jungkook said as tears filled his eyes.
"Are you serious?" They both say under their breath. "How could someone leave someone so precious as this sweet baby girl." Jimin asked, completely floored by his words.
"It's not our fault it happened." He whimpered "Hanie got left behind, it's not fair." He said sadly. Clove stinking up the space. Jimin stood behind him and rubbed his arms up and down trying to comfort him.
"That's terrible Jungkook. I'm so sorry. You both deserve better." Jimin said. "If I'm ever given the chance, I will never leave you." He promised.
"We have also experienced great loss. When I was a young boy my Omega Appa died. He was on his way to pick me up from my riding lesson. He had a terrible car crash." Jimin said thinking back. Tears filled both Minguks and his eyes recalling that dreadful day so long ago.
Hanie's doe eyes got a size bigger. “You lost your Appa too Jimin?" She asked, holding his hand suddenly.
Jimin knelt down on her level. "Yes baby I was 8 years old when I lost him. So I understand what it's like to lose a parent. But if you let me I would like to be that for you. If your Appa will have me that is."
"Well it would be a really big step moving out here. My human side is cautious. My omega is screaming ``YES he's our mate." Jungkook laughed.
"Enough with all these complicated emotions so early in the morning. Let's get the horses fed so we can go on our play date at the park." Jimin said excitedly.
Jimin and Hanie took care of the horses while Jungkook got some lunch packed. It took him a little searching to find everything he needed but he made a beautiful mix of things to eat. When the two came back he was ready to go.
"Let me just change into better clothes then we can leave." Jimin said. He quickly climbed the stairs to his room and freshened up and changed into some shorts and a t-shirt. He checked himself one last time, pleased with the look. He was ready to spend the day at the park.
They all loaded into the truck and drove to the nearby park. It had a playground, a clearing with a grassy area with a few picnic tables. There was also a scenic hiking trail to a beautiful waterfall. Jimin knew Hanie wanted to play so he would be happy just watching her. They needed to eat but he secretly hoped they had time to hike the trail to the falls. The alpha thought this would be a fun way to bond together.
Pulling Hanie out of the truck her eyes widened at the sight of the big playset. "Appa can I go play?” She asked, jumping up and down tugging at his arm.
“Sure baby, that's why we are here. Just be careful okay?” Jungkook told her as he watched her run to the other kids already playing.
Jimin and Jungkook gathered the food and carried it to the picnic tables. The weather was beautiful. Hanie’s giggles filled the air as they watched her go up and down the slide. She must have gone down it 20 times already. Each time the static from the plastic made her hair stand up all over her head. They would all laugh. Jungkook decided he needed to take a picture of this moment so the next time she came down he was waiting at the bottom.
“Appa” She hollered out “Why did you take a picture of me when I look bad?” She asked.
“Oh my baby girl. You can never look bad in Appa’s eyes. You are always beautiful.” He said kissing her head before she was off running again.
Jungkook sat back down next to Jimin. He showed him the pictures he took and they both cooed at how cute she looked. After a little while longer they called her over to eat. She didn’t want to stop playing. They washed her hands and they all sat down to eat the delicious lunch Jungkook prepared. Everyone ate their fill and thanked Jungkook for the amazing lunch. While they cleaned up Hanie played a little longer.
Jimin mentioned the falls and how pretty they were. After talking they both decided the hike would be a fun time. They should have enough time left before dark. Hanie waved goodbye to her new friends. Jimin and Jungkook made sure to bring water for the hike. Jimin and Jungkook were holding hands watching Hanie run ahead of them. Their joined hands swung back and forth. Hanie smiled at the sight. Hanie ran up ahead and stopped to look over the side. Jungkook shouted at her. "Don’t get so close to the edge. Stay in the middle."
She turned to look at him with big eyes. Backing away from the edge. Just as Jungkook reached her and scooped her up. "I'm sorry baby I didn't mean to scare you. But you could have fallen down the side. Please be careful." Appa said, nuzzling her close.
“You know she has been playing and running so much today when she crashes she will be out like a light.” Jimin teased.
“You are probably right but she is having the time of her life right now.” Jungkook said with a soft smile watching his daughter.
It took them close to an hour and a half to reach the falls, stopping for them to rest every now and then. When they got there it really was a breathtaking sight. The sound of the rushing water alone was amazing but they had the visual to go along with it. When the sun hit the water just right it made rainbows off the spray of the falls. The falls had smooth boulders deep in the bottom. People come here to swim on hot sunny days. Today it was empty but maybe one day they could come back for a swim. They did decide to get a cool drink from the pool at the bottom though. Hanie thought that was fun to drink from the fall. They all took pictures of the falls and with each other. Then it was time to make the trip back down. Hanie walked about half way down but she was getting tired. All her energy was gone.
“Appa I can’t walk anymore.” She whined “Carry me” She begged, raising her hands.
“Baby I can’t walk that far with you. You are getting too big.” He exclaimed.
"But Appa my legs are going to break if I walk anymore. You don't want that do you?" She asked using her best puppy eyes.
“Come here baby, I will carry you.” Jimin said.
“Are you sure Jimin? That’s a long way to tote her.” Jungkook said “I don’t want you to get hurt.”
“It’s fine. I'm an Alpha, remember I'm strong.” He said proudly. Truthfully he didn’t know if he could make it down the mountain but he needed to try. This was his future family.
So he squatted down and picked her up into his arms. She wrapped herself around him tight. She buried her face in his neck. He held her under her bum. She breathed in his scent as she bounced up and down as he walked. The slow rhythm soon put her right out. Jungkook’s omega was very pleased to see the Alpha carrying his baby this way. The two of them talked and looked at the beautiful scenery around them as they carefully made their descent. When they finally reached the bottom Jimin’s muscles were screaming from overexertion but he would do it all over again. He loved the feeling of her on his chest. Sleeping soundly safely in his arms. He carefully placed her in the car seat and they headed back to the ranch.
Minguk was already there waiting for them when they arrived. He offered to make dinner for them since they had a long day. Hanie was full of life once more after her nap and was excited to see Minguk. She asked if she could help him cook dinner. So they began to prepare the meal. Once they all finished their meal Jungkook took her to get a bath and get in her jammies. While he did Minguk got the things ready for the night. He didn't know who was more excited to build the living room fort; him or her. They were going to have so much fun watching movies, eating yummy snacks, and sleeping in the fort filled with soft pillows and blankets.
“Are you sure you will be okay?” Jungkook whispered. “We will just be upstairs if anything happens and Hanie needs me. Just come and knock on the door” He said.
“Don’t worry I will be fine with her. Go enjoy your night.” Minguk said, waving his hands at them to shoo.
Jimin and Jungkook said goodnight to Hanie. Jungkook kissed her and hugged her tight. "Have a great time with Minguk okay but be a good girl. Be a Jeon." He reminded her.
Jimin waited for Jungkook to go up first. He couldn't help but reach out for his butt as he watched it before him. It looked so perfect in front of his face. The omega quickly turned to look at the alpha and said. “Wait until we get up the stairs.” He laughed.
The alpha just smirked at him as they reached the top landing and Jimin opened the door. Jungkook was hit with the strong scent of leather immediately. You could tell this was the alphas' space. His omega was going crazy clawing to get out. His eyes were dilated. He tried to take in his surroundings. He could see the little touches that showed the alphas personality that were not shown downstairs.
“Do you want to freshen up? You can go first.” The alpha said. “I will get you something to wear”
“Yes please, that would be nice after our long day.” He blushed.
Jimin gathered some things and placed them on the bathroom counter. “Here is an oversized shirt to put on and some boxers. Towels are in the cabinet.” He said as he left the bathroom so the omega could go in.
Jungkook quickly took a shower enjoying the fresh smell of the alphas body wash and shampoo. He tried to calm himself down under the warm water. Trying not to let his omega get too carried away. Once he dried off he dressed in the alphas clothes. The scent of them did nothing to calm him. It was quite the opposite actually. Jungkook sighed to himself and slowly walked out of the bathroom.
Jimin showered next while Jungkook looked around the space. He had horse quotes hanging up on the wall. A couple riding ribbons he had won. He tried to imagine Jimin as a small boy and he smiled at the thought. The alpha had some pictures of his Appa one he didn't recognize. “He must be his omega Appa” Jungkook thought. It wasn't long before Jimin stepped out from the bathroom in a shirt of his own. The alpha walked over to where the omega was standing and wrapped his arms around his waist. “Do you feel better now? Do you need anything?” Jimin whispered in the omegas ear.
Jungkook leaned back in the alphas arms head falling on his shoulder. “Nope, I’m great.” He mumbled looking up at him.
After a few moments like that Jimin guided them over to the bed. He was still attached to the omegas back. They waddled left to right until they reached the bed. Jungkook giggled at the alphas silliness. Jimin helped him to lay down. Jimin’s bed was big and fluffy much like Jungkook’s was downstairs but oh the smell was definitely not the same. The alphas' bed smelled heavenly. Jungkook wanted to roll around in it like a kitten. Rub his face all over the sheets until he was fully scented. Until there was no trace of Orange blossom to be found. Carefully Jimin climbed up next to him. Both their hearts were beating wildly as they stared into each other's eyes. “It’s okay Alpha.” He teased. Drawing out the name “I want you too. Is that so bad?” He snickered, batting his eyes.
“Omega” He said sternly.
“Okay okay we should get up. Hanie will want to see us. But I wanted one more round. So sue me. It's been 2 years okay. An omega has needs you know. Knotting toys are just not the same” He whined pulling the alpha tight.
“I know I wish we had time. Can I hold you just for a few more minutes?” Jimin asked. “I’m afraid of losing this feeling.”
“What do you mean?” Jungkook asked, rubbing the alphas back.
“Where do you see this going between us?” Jimin whispered in a small voice. “I already know what I want. I'm hoping you want to move out here with me.”
“Oh I like you a lot too. I would like to try being a family as well. You don’t think it’s too soon for us to move in with you?” The omega asked.
“Not at all. I don’t even want you to leave and get your things. But I know you probably have things to settle there.” He snorted.
“Yea I would have to finish my rooms I have been working on. Sell my place. Pack our things. I will come back as soon as I can if that's what we both agree on.” He reassured the alpha.
“Okay then I am ready to do that. I don’t need to wait or think any more about my decision.” The alpha said confidently. Kissing the omega.
The omega giggled, kissing the alpha back. “Are you sure you know what you're in for? Hanie can be a handful; she is not always sunshine and rainbows.”
“I understand. I know I have no experience of being a daddy. But I will learn. I will love you both with everything I have. I promise.” Jimin said in between soft kisses.
“Okay let’s do it. Time is precious. I already learned that. We are not guaranteed tomorrow.” The omega said.
“I will have to do some remodeling to add extra rooms upstairs here in this open space. I don't want our rooms downstairs that will just be for the guest.” Jimin said.
“Ya I agree. I would feel safer with Hanie up here with us.” Jungkook said.
So after a few more minutes of cuddling they were so happy about their shared decision. They got up and brushed their teeth and headed downstairs to check on Minguk and Hanie. They were still in their fort castle. Twinkle lights illuminating them. Jimin's heart melted at the sight of Hanie laying across his Appas chest sleeping soundly. He didn't know if this day would ever come seeing his appa with a child. Since he never dated he feared he would not have children of his own. The 2 went in to start breakfast.
“They must have had a fun night.” Jungkook chuckled. “They are still passed out.”
Jimin started the coffee and began to make eggs and bacon. “Ya I guess so. They are so cute. I bet my Appa loved every second of it, " Jimin said, grabbing a skillet to cook with.
"So we will head home and get things ready. It might take a month or so to be completed.” Jungkook said.
“I will miss you everyday.” Jimin said. Giving him a quick kiss.
Just then Hanie and Minguk woke up. Hanie waddled out into the kitchen. “Morning Appa morning Jimin.” She hugged both their legs.
“Morning baby did have fun with Minguk last night?” Jungkook asked.
“Yeah, so much fun. Can I sleep over again with Minguk soon?” She squealed.
“I’m sure we can do that.” Jungkook smiled at her.
When breakfast was finished they all sat down to eat. “Appa. Hanie, we have something to talk about with you. Time is precious and we both feel the same so we have decided to take things between us into a serious relationship.” Jimin said. “Jungkook and Hanie will go home and settle their affairs there and then move here with me. How does that sound to both of you?” Jimin asked
Minguk smiles pleased with their decision. He has waited all his life for his son to be happy and to have a family to love and take care of. “I think it’s amazing, son. I am very excited for both of you and I can’t wait to spend more time with all of you.”
Hanie was just screaming going crazy running around the room. “Yes, I want to stay. I want to live here. Appa can I stay Appa?” She said delighted.
“Oh I don’t know, baby if you can stay right now? That is a long time for Jimin to keep you until I get back.” Jungkook said, squeezing her tight. “Also Appa will miss you so much. I have never been away from you before.” He said kissing her soft hair.
Jimin waited until Hanie was not right in front of them and then spoke to Jungkook. “I don’t mind her staying here with me if you are okay with it. It might make things quicker and easier for you to come back to me.” He wiggled his eyebrows.
"I appreciate the offer but I could never be away from my pup like that. I hope you understand." Jungkook said. "She's so little it's just too soon." He whispered cloves filling the space around them.
"Hey look at me." Jimin said softly. "You have no reason to be sad. I'm sorry for being so naive and thinking it would be okay of course it's not okay. I apologize." He said rubbing the omega's arms to comfort him. "I will be right here waiting for both of you to return okay." He said with a bright smile.
“It’s settled then we will go back and get everything squared away. I will hurry and come back to you as soon as we can.” Jungkook smiled.
Time skip 6 weeks.
Everyday Jimin had a routine to wake up, make breakfast for the guests and eat his own breakfast. Then spend the morning caring for the horses. He started to work with Petal a little at a time. It will still be a couple years to fully train her and be able to put weight on her. If the guest wanted to ride he would get the beauties ready. He loved taking them up the mountain trail. For most this is a new experience and he loved to share in their enthusiasm. His life now compared to just a year ago is such a drastic change. Sometimes he has a hard time believing this is his life now. Loving what he does. Minguk often joined him for dinner when the Inn was empty of guests, which was nice. Jimin prepared the upstairs part of the house during the time they were away, creating the rooms ready for Hanie and a spare room for “just in case.” Jimin smirked to himself he hoped they could have a pup of their own one day.
Once Jungkook and Hanie were back they shared the chores of the Inn. They both loved the company the guest would bring into their home and lives. Every guest had a different story. Jungkook felt weird at first not having his design job to go to everyday. He often felt like he had no real value on the ranch; it was always a Jimin and Hanie thing. He knew Jimin loved him but he soon discovered he needed something more. Jimin said he would support him whenever he decided to start his career here. So the omega shared his insecurities one night as they sat on the porch. Jimin had no idea he was feeling this way. He apologized for any part he had in making the omega feel left out and promised to help him start his new career here. He knew that it wouldn’t take long for the word to spread in a small town like this. HIs omega designs are amazing and everyone would want him for their home or business needs. His clientele would grow quickly. Time passed by now with Jungkook working and sharing life at the ranch he finally felt complete. They only grew closer; he has never been happier.
Time skip 1 Year later
Their wedding was small, just family and a few friends. The Mitchals came back for their big day saying they wouldn’t miss it for the world. Jimin had missed them so much. They looked really good. Their traveling must have been just what the doctor ordered. The couple was glad to see the ranch was still in great hands. Petal was a beautiful addition to their family. Their mating was perfect; he couldn't have asked for a more intimate setting under the stars. Their family that they have built might not have been the original plan for Jungkook’s life but maybe things are better the second time around.
Time skip 2 years.
Jungkook was standing anxiously by the fence. Jimin was releasing calming pheromones. Hanie just mounted Petal for the first time by herself and Jungkook was afraid of how Petal would react. He was ready to run to her rescue. Jimin assured him she would be fine. They had worked with her everyday over the last 2 years and she was used to Hanie handling her. “Yes you are. We are so proud of you.” They shout out.
Jungkook had his camera and he took hundreds of pictures of this historic event. Hanie and Petal’s first ride. The day was so nice out he couldn’t help but take some of his Alpha and Gi too.
“See she is fine.” Jimin said, kissing the omegas cheek. But it’s hard for a parent not to worry. Jimin was standing by Jungkook’s side with Gi in his arms. The tiny baby was sound asleep. He was the perfect mix of them both. Jungkook’s whole pregnancy had been a miracle to Jimin. Watching him change into a softer version of himself. He was amazed. Jimin never missed a day to praise him and caress his belly, kissing his belly before there was even a bump. He pampered him in every way possible. It was the least he could do for the miracle he was bringing into their lives. Now that Gi is here he takes care of all the duties he can for him other than the feedings so that his omega can rest.
