After Dominik’s little episode the rest of the meeting was question free. No one spoke but I could feel their stares, especially from Liv. Her and Dom had been having problems ever since Rhea and I got married. He barely even looks her way at work so I could imagine how she feels at home.
“Thank you all for coming and to all of our wrestlemania contenders good luck. The call time for Saturday is at 4:30 but doors open at noon.” Triple H said dismissing us.
I grabbed my phone and the agenda for Saturday and tried to rush out as soon as possible.
“Jey!” I turned to slightly see liv walking over to me. I’m not dealing with this today, I turned around and acted like I couldn’t hear her.
“Jey I know you hear me. We need to talk,” liv said coming after me. The room was still full of people now watching as I tried to evade her.
“We dont need to talk about shit Liv.” I called back to her.
“Yes the hell we do! My boyfriend just confessed his undying love for your wife, that seems like something we should talk about!” She said walking right on my heels.
“Look I have nothing to worry about when it comes to Dominik Mysterio. No offense Rey.” I said turning to face her. Rey just up his hands up and shook his head.
“Oh yeah like you had nothing to worry about with Gunther?” She questioned. My face immediately hardened.
“I’m sorry, that was uncalled for. Look I love Dom, so so much. But he clearly loves Rhea-“ I cut her off.
“I don’t care if he loves Rhea. That’s my wife, MINE!” I exclaimed, I’m sick of everyone telling me Dom deserves to be with Rhea.
“… Do you even love Rhea?” She asked, the room went silent. Everyone was now waiting for my answer and not even trying to hide it.
“You two only got married because she got pregnant. If you don’t love her then give her to someone who does.” Liv said.
“Did you really just ask me that. Do I love Rhea? She’s the air I breathe Liv, I didn’t care that she was pregnant I loved her so I married her. Do I even love her, are you serious! I flew to Australia to get her parents blessing. Then I flew to Italy and asked her godfathers blessing, he took me to her grandmothers grave and told me to talk to her as well. I love her more than my own life.”
“And I’m not givning her up to some man -child freak who cheated on her and left her in front of 60,000 people for a girl he doesn’t even love now.”
“Jey I-I’m sorry that was too far-“
“Forget it.” I said slamming the door on my way out.
This was the last thing I needed, I honestly shouldn’t have even come.
I got in the car and made my way to my mom’s house to get the kids. On the way I got way too many calls from Jim, Naomi, Cody, even Stephanie. But I ignored them all, I don’t really feel like talking about it.
When I pulled into my moms driveway the door was open. I turned off the car and walked inside. My dad was talking to the kids as they watched wrestling and my mom was cooking in the kitchen.
“Daddy!” JJ said jumping up and running over to me. He slammed right into my knee.
I pretended it took me out and knelt down. “Your getting a little to strong for that little man!”
“Like mommy?!!” He asked excitedly— not knowing the extent behind his words.
“Yeah, like mommy.” I answered. My daughter was next she shoved her brother aside and hugged me tightly.
“You’re back.” She said excitedly. “I made a pinky promise didn’t I.” She just giggled and laughed still handing on to me.
“How was the meeting son?” My father asked with a sleeping Aria in his arms.
“It was a waste of time.” I spit out. “How so.” He pressed.
“Dominik Mysterio confessed his undying love for Rhea and tried to say I didn’t love her. Then Liv’s crazy ass twisted the whole situation to say I didn’t even love my wife and only married her because of… well them.” I didn’t want to say ‘the kids’ on the off chance they knew what I was talking about.
“Well that is indeed a waste of time. You didn’t let them get to you did you?” He asked.
“No of course not. I kept my head down and defended my marriage but after that I left.” He nodded.
“Good man.” He said.
“We should probably be heading out Pops. Thank you and Mom for watching the kids.” I said grabbing the kids bags.
“Anytime. Stay safe and if you ever need us to watch the kids we will sweetie.” My
Mom said coming out of the kitchen.
They both gave us hugs and I packed the kids up in the car. On the drive to the hospital the kids fell asleep so I took the opportunity to call Jim back.
“Hey man, did you need something?” I asked avoiding the topic.
“Oh I don’t know maybe I needed to check on my brother because it looked like you were about to punch liv in honor of Rhea.” Jimmy said sarcastically.
“Now you know danm well if I were to do anything to that girl in honor of Rhea it would be a head but.” I joked Jimmy apparently didn’t find it funny.
“This ain’t no time to be joking Jey. That whole thing with Dom and Liv, well, it was a lot. Do you want me and Trin to take the kids for a few days you know just so you can think for a bit.” Jimmy offered.
“No. I just got my kids back. I haven’t seen them all week. Really not since last Monday. Since you got hurt then Rhea I haven’t been a very good dad and I need to change that.” I said firmly.
“I know that but-“
“This isn’t up for debate Jim. I just got to the hospital I’ll talk to you later.” I said hanging up abruptly.

“Welcome back Mr. Fatu. Your wife is doing good but she’s still unresponsive as far as waking up.” The nurse told me as I walked in.
The kids were still asleep so I took out the double stroller and took them in this way.
“Thank you Cristina.” As I was going into the room to see Rhea she stopped me again.
“Wait Mr. Fatu, you should know she got a visitor while you were gone. I think he might still be in there.” She said. My eyebrows scrunched in confusion.
Everyone who would visit her was at the meeting. Her family is still in Australia, my family is at the house. Who’s here?
Without another word I pushed the door open to see none other than Dominik sitting by her and holding her hand.
“I just wanted to see her.” He said sensing my presence. Had my kids not been here I would have thrown him against the wall.
“You need to leave.” I said angrily. He didn’t move.
“You know when the two of you got together I called her, told her I loved her. She thought it was a joke. Me trying to get in her head for Liv. But it wasn’t, I meant it. But she said she loved you. She wanted a man who could love her unconditionally and take care of her.” Dom said making no move to leave.
“I’m so jealous of you Jey. You have everything I always wanted with Rhea. A good marriage, kids, a nice house, a world title shot. I’m so envious that no matter what I could never get any of that.” “I’ll leave now. I just- needed to see her.” Dom admitted.
He gave Rhea one last squeeze and walked to the exit. I grabbed his forearm before he left.
“This was a one time thing.” I said making sure he knew.
“I figured.” With that he left.
I sighed softly just wanting to forget that moment with Dom. I took the kids out of the stroller and laid them onto the couch by the door.
“I need you so much babe. I feel like I’m losing it. I can’t deal with Dominik’s feeling and my brother’s opinion on everything lately.” I said moving to the seat dom had pulled over.
“We had a meeting today, that’s why I was gone for a little bit.” I huffed a bit at the thought of the meeting. “I almost swung on Liv today. She was saying all kinds of bullshit on our marriage. You would have been proud.” I told her smiling sadly.
“You’re right. I’m so proud.” Rhea said quietly. My head shot up, she’s awake I thought.
We just looked at each other, Rheas eyes had healed and were no longer black but she still looked exhausted.
“Baby?” I said softly wondering, no, hoping this was real.
“It’s me Jey. I’m back.” She said moving her hand over mine slowly and weakly.
I hit the button to call a doctor in, then I engulfed her in a hug so passionate her heart monitor spiked.
“I’ve missed you so much.” I said with tears streaming down my face. I’m not a man that cries a lot but this was my tipping point.
