Chapter Text

Sunoo stared at the ceiling with a calmer breath; he could hear footsteps around him, and his excitement only grew. He lowered his head, stood up, and took the microphone from a staff member's hand. The brief three-minute break was over, and he was about to go back on stage.

This concert was particularly special for him in many ways; it had been a year since his accident. He could never have imagined how much had changed in just one year. Starting with himself, after all, he was no longer human. He didn’t sleep anymore, and he drank blood to survive—things he certainly wouldn’t have believed if someone had told him before.

But despite all of this, today he knew how to handle it and had fully accepted himself. Some things still crossed his mind, and some topics were still difficult for him, like immortality. It was no longer the despair he used to feel, but it still caught him off guard sometimes. Especially when one of the other six mentioned it.

“Sunoo, I’m already thinking of all the places we’re going to visit in a few years,” Sunghoon said one afternoon while they were sitting on the balcony of the apartment they lived in. Sunoo, who had his head resting on Sunghoon's shoulder, looked up at him.

“Really? Do you have a list?” Sunoo asked. He felt like his heart was beating fast; they all had that effect on him.

“I do. I was making one with Riki and Heeseung. We have different ideas, but it doesn’t matter—time won’t be an issue.” Sunghoon smiled so beautifully that Sunoo felt like crying.

Those little conversations, those small dialogues in the middle of their daily lives, always took his breath away. It was a simple love, a love so calm and familiar. Sunoo felt that love like a cozy pillow on a cold day—it was the best place in the world.

Sunoo sang with all the joy in his body; Orange Flower was the song echoing through the stadium at that moment. Kim couldn’t contain all the happiness he felt. He was at his most fulfilled. He looked at his fans, at his members, and he felt alive. He wished he could do this forever, for all eternity. Nothing truly compared to the love he had.

“Sunoo hyung, what do you think of the energy today?” Jungwon asked as they took a break to drink some water.

“Incredible! This might be the best concert we’ve ever done,” he said, and the cheers almost tore his ears.

And then they kept singing for a while longer. In the end, Sunoo didn’t want to go home; he didn’t want that atmosphere to end. All the special people in his life were there—his family, his second family who was with him on stage, and his fans, who, despite the long time he’d been away, never stopped supporting him.

Backstage, right after the concert ended, Sunoo was laughing as he listened to the others talking about little incidents that had happened during the show. This was truly their favorite moment—they were born for this.

“Sun, we're about to order dinner. What do you want? Take advantage that tonight Jay’s paying,” Heeseung sat down next to him, showing his phone in hand.

"Is he still upset about losing that game?" Sunoo took the phone from Heeseung's hand, ready to choose his food, and felt Jay sitting down on his other side.

"I'm not upset, just indignant that they didn't want to give me the benefit of VAR," Jay pouted, and Sunoo laughed, gently stroking his face.

"What VAR, Jay? You lost in a game of rock-paper-scissors," Heeseung teased, and Sunoo laughed, suddenly realizing something. He stopped looking at the phone and lowered it.

It had been a while since he forgot about himself.

Seconds later, Heeseung and Jay noticed what he was thinking.

Sunoo laughed.

"Yeah, Jay, that's one less expensive dish coming out of your pocket," Sunoo handed the phone back to Heeseung, who blinked a few times.

"Sorry, Sun, I didn't realize," Heeseung apologized, and Sunoo frowned.

"You didn't do anything wrong; I forgot too," he replied with a smile.

"Well, I'm not spending money on you, so my neck is yours tonight," Jay whispered close to his ear, and Sunoo sighed.

"You guys keep filling me up with blood," he responded.

"And isn't that a good thing? Are you going to tell me that drinking Jungwon's blood before today's show didn't make you feel much more energized?" Heeseung looked at him.

"It did, I'm not complaining; it's just that I feel a bit bad about..."

"Sunoo, we've gotten past that phase, months ago," Jay interrupted, and Kim took a deep breath.

Yes, they had moved past it. Sunoo felt completely foolish for still occasionally feeling bad about them feeding him, but he knew they would never deny him, and they would never let him drink anyone else's blood. Refusing wasn't an option for Sunoo, and they were quite possessive in that regard. Among them, it was fine, but once Sunoo mentioned drinking blood from a friend of Jiwon, and that caused a stir for days.

"So, it's your neck... I like it," Sunoo replied, noticing Jay blush slightly. Heeseung laughed behind Sunoo, making Park's embarrassment grow a bit more.

"I thought you loved our blood, not just liked it..." Heeseung said.

"You're annoying," Sunoo made a face and received a lingering peck from Lee. Sunoo's eyes widened as he pushed him away, looking around the room. No one was there except them. "You know someone could walk in here."

"Heeseung stopped caring about that months ago, didn't you notice?" Jay asked, laughing, and Sunoo shook his head.

"Let's go already; our car is here, and I don't want to spend any more time without my mouth being on yours," Lee whispered as he walked out, followed by Jay and Sunoo.

"And you think I'm the threat," Sunoo said to Jay, who laughed, wrapping his arm around Sunoo's shoulders.

The ride back to their apartment was peaceful, and hours later, they were already eating the feast paid for by Jay. Maybe his wallet felt it, but nothing bothered him when he saw the others happy. Sunoo was laughing at something Jungwon and Jake were saying, tears streaming from his eyes from laughing so hard.

Seeing him happy was something those six cherished deeply. It had taken a long few months for Sunoo to return to his former self after the accident, and maybe he wasn't exactly the same, but he was happy, and this time, for real. Nothing was fleeting anymore; Sunoo had reached that peak again and had no plans of coming down.

"Sunoo, did you know there's a theory going around the internet that you're a vampire?" Jungwon said, and Kim's eyes widened.

"Is it because of my fangs?" he asked, looking thoughtful. "They're not even that big; I thought they went unnoticed, like Sunghoon's, but then again, he's human, right?" Sunoo thought too much, and Jungwon laughed.

"It's not because of your fangs; people think they're nice, natural. They're saying that because they find you too handsome," Yang said, and Sunoo frowned.

"But don't they think that about all of us? Like, Sunghoon can't post a mirror selfie without me hearing the screams of millions coming through the window," he commented, teasing, and Park blushed instantly.

"No, it's not the same. They've started to notice that you have flawless skin and that your face always looks good, especially without makeup," Jake added.

"Oh god, that's a problem, isn't it?" Sunoo seemed worried.

"Of course, it's not, Sun. People know it's impossible," Sunghoon said, and the others agreed.

"But what if the person making that comment is a vampire disguised as a teenager?" Sunoo asked, and at that moment, he saw the knot forming in their minds as they blinked a few times.

"I don't think that's possible, and even if they were, there's no way they could prove it. There's no way they could make others believe them without revealing themselves," Heeseung said rationally, dismissing the idea from the others' minds at the table.

"True," Jake said. "These people just noticed that you're perfect..." he continued. "And maybe that bothers some of them who are always giving us a hard time."

"The worst part is, I really can't do anything to look tired or anything like that. I don't feel tired, only when I'm hungry, but it's more of a discomfort than exhaustion," Sunoo sighed and shrugged. "I'm glad I have this regeneration ability; imagine if I still had all the scars from my accident? They'd hate me," he commented, and the others stared at him.

"You had a huge scar that went from your forehead to your scalp. They said it was because of the massive impact you took, and that's what caused the traumatic brain injury..." Jungwon recalled, blinking a few times. "It disappeared, and I remember wondering at the beginning where it had gone, because it was there days before. But when I saw you awake for the first time, it was gone," he smiled, and Sunoo stared at him.

"I couldn't even disguise anything because I never got to see myself after the accident, except as a vampire," Sunoo replied with a smile. "I remembered it the other day," he fiddled with the glass of water on the table, feeling at peace about the topic, even though he sometimes still felt a sense of dread, he quickly managed to overcome those destructive feelings.

"Remembered?" Ni-ki asked. “About what?"

"The accident. I remembered all of it," Kim said, and the six of them looked at him more intently. "I didn't tell anyone; I wasn't sure if you guys would want to know..."

"If you want to tell us..." Jay said. "It's okay, we can handle it." Sunoo looked at them, feeling reassured. They knew he needed to tell someone, and they knew it had to be them.

"Junghan, he swerved to avoid hitting a dog," Sunoo said, and they were surprised. It was known that the car had lost control, but not that it had been because of that. "I was looking outside, watching the trees. I heard him say, 'Damn, a dog.' After that, I was startled by the sudden movement of the car, and then I felt a strong impact. The memory was very detailed—I felt every part of my body breaking and getting injured," he recounted, seeing the others' eyes filled with so much affection and concern.

"And then you woke up in the ambulance, right?" Jake asked.

"No, I woke up right after the impact, but I didn't remember that. I opened my eyes and saw the car's roof right in front of me. I have no idea what position I was in, but I couldn't move or speak. I just felt a lot of pain and something was dripping from me— probably blood. And then I passed out and woke up in the ambulance, which was when I saw Jiwoo for the first time," he smiled slightly.

"It was your destiny, Sunoo. Out of all the people who could have attended to you that day, she was the first. I always think about that..." Heeseung confessed. "You were the person she needed to save."

"Yeah, I remember her eyes, extremely yellow. I'll never forget the way she looked at me," he blinked a few times.

"You made her fall in love with you even while you were on the brink of death. That's something only you could do," Jay said, and Sunoo smiled. "I hope that memory stays in the past, Sunoo. Fortunately, nothing ended that day, and you're still here."

"And I'll be here for a long time..." He said and sighed.

"Privilege of those who'll be able to see you forever, Sunoo, and I'm glad I'm one of them," Sunghoon boasted, and Kim nodded, looking at him.

They knew that, in the beginning, there had been some friction with the whole situation, but over the months, the idea became so familiar to Sunoo that, even if he wanted to think something bad about it, he couldn't anymore. Now, he only thinks about how living with those who are the loves of his life is going to be wonderful and incredible.

"I still think you should change the 25-year rule," Ni-ki said, and Sunoo gave a sarcastic laugh.

"No, and you're going to wait," he said firmly, crossing his arms. Ni-ki huffed and rolled his eyes. It had been difficult the day Sunoo revealed what he had decided for himself. Ni-ki was certainly the one who liked the idea the least, but he eventually accepted it because he knew Sunoo would never run away or forget him; that possibility would never exist in this world.

Ni-ki stood up and sat next to Sunoo, giving him a gentle kiss on the lips, and Sunoo still wasn't used to the fact that they could do that in front of everyone. Heeseung, Sunghoon, and Sunoo had no fear at all; it was as if they felt proud to belong to Sunoo, and that made an unreal warmth rise within Sunoo. It felt like everything inside him was elevated, and he liked that feeling.

They belonged to each other, no one more, no one less. The three of them were more uninhibited, while the other three were discreet, and Sunoo found it cute how their personalities differed in each group of three. Jay and he had already kissed a few times since the first time it happened—calm, everyday kisses. Jake and Sunoo had a relationship full of physical affection, especially from Jake, who loved hugging Sunoo or being as close as possible to him. But maybe he wasn’t ready for more intimate touches like kisses, and that was okay. It wasn't what defined what they felt for each other.

Jungwon had resisted, as he had mentioned himself. Then one day, when he and Sunoo were on the apartment balcony, sharing each other's company after a long day of rehearsals, Jungwon looked at Sunoo and left a gentle kiss on his lips. On that day, Jungwon had thanked Sunoo more than anyone for not leaving, and that kiss was his way of expressing it. And after that day, there were more moments like that.

Sunoo liked that it wasn’t just with him. The others had that same affection and love for each other, and it was so natural, like daylight, like the waves of the sea. The love they felt was pure, light, and full of all the good feelings in the world. And after everything that happened with Sunoo, the bond they shared only grew stronger and evolved into the relationship they have today. No conversation was needed, no explanation required, because they knew, deep in their souls, they knew that this was the feeling they would carry forever.

"I love you, my love," he said, running his hand over Ni-ki’s face, who only smiled. In his thoughts, Sunoo read the words, "I love you more than anything," and smiled even more, pressing his fingers into Ni-ki’s skin.

[...]

Sunoo was inflating a red balloon and looking at the countless others on the floor of the apartment. It was getting close to dark and he could see the others decorating the living room of their apartment. They had decided to have a party. Since they had a few days off, they all wanted to drink and somehow de-stress.

They'd just come back from tour and it was the first time they'd had a break in over a month. Sunoo filled all the balloons. Some time later, everything was as they had imagined it, with colored lights, music coming out of the speakers in the apartment and lots of drinks on a table, as well as some snacks.

It wasn't long before they were chatting and having fun to the sound of the loud music playing, maybe they were going to get a fine for noise, but deep down they didn't care. Sunoo took everything he was offered and there was no reason to deny it, they were tasty, even if they didn't have any effect on his system.

“Sunoo!” Jungwon pulled him along when a song they both liked started playing.

After an hour neither of them was sober anymore, they danced with glasses in hand and laughed in between, it wasn't a bad time, it was certainly the best thing they'd done in ages. Although Sunoo was having fun, dancing and shouting the songs at the top of his lungs, he was also watching them, just to make sure none of them got hurt.

“You don't want to drink my blood?” he heard from a somewhat cheerful Jake and laughed when he felt him wrap his arms around his body as they danced to a song.

“I don't want to push it, I drank yesterday, I'm not hungry, baby.” Sunoo replied, holding Jake's face in front of him and he blinked a few times.

“Just a little...” he said smiling and Sunoo thought it was no big deal. He grabbed Jake's neck and bit down, feeling goosebumps rise on his body as the blood touched his mouth. It was so good it felt like heaven.

“You’re so tasty.” he said, breaking away from Jake, who smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

Sunoo felt his head sway slightly and thought it was strange, but nothing much. The music continued, and they were all enjoying what they could, the drinks were running out and so was the food, at one point Sunoo saw the lights flashing and felt himself floating, he danced with everyone, and laughed with them too.

At one point he was cornered by Heeseung and Sunghoon and he couldn't contain the kisses and caresses they left on his face and neck, his lips were taken by one at a time and he couldn't deny it, he didn't want to deny it, it was all too good for him to do that. Being kissed and touched by them was one of the best things in the world

“Drink my blood.” he heard from Sunghoon and denied it with a heavy head as he felt Heeseung bite his neck.

“I already drank Jake's.” he said and laughed out loud.

“So what? Drink my blood, I want you to.” Sunghoon was drunk and talking a little altered, without violence or anger, he was needy and longing for Kim's teeth in his flesh.

“I don't want to...” Sunoo pursed his lips and Sunghoon grumbled.

“Please… bite me, please” he insisted and Kim rolled his eyes and closed them a little as he felt Heeseung not leave his skin alone, it felt good even though it hurt at first.

“Heeseung, make him stop!” Sunoo ordered and Lee lifted his face and held Sunghoon's with one of his hands.

“Stop!” he said and then laughed. Heeseung was as drunk as Sunghoon and the two of them laughed together. “Just a little Sun..., he'll be complaining for a week.” Heeseung had an arm around Kim's shoulders and he snorted.

“Fine, you're persistent.”

“It's not like you don't like it Sun, you don't fool us.” Sunghoon said kissing Sunoo's mouth with fervor, he touched his hips and pushed him against the wall putting all his desire for Kim into that kiss.

Sunoo couldn't describe how good it felt and especially because Heeseung was kissing him on the neck again. He was getting very turned on by it and his head was already spinning with the smell of them in his nose. Sunghoon broke away from Sunoo's mouth and smiled, holding his face.

“Drink!” he said and Sunoo saw his neck glowing in front of his eyes. He could feel his arteries pulsing and his mind could think of nothing else but that blood pouring down his throat, his fingers trembled with desire and he felt his body almost explode at the thought of the taste of Sunghoon's blood.

It was out of his mind and as soon as he bit into his neck, everything seemed in limbo, a feeling of ecstasy, that blood filled him, satiated him and he just wanted more and more, something out of the ordinary that he hadn't felt before, and it was then that seconds later he noticed Sunghoon going limp in his arms and his mind seemed to return to normal.

“Sunghoon!” he said as his eyes almost closed and his body seemed to go into complete despair as he felt his heart beating so slowly. “No, no, no, no...” he said quickly and Heeseung on his side couldn't move as he saw Sunghoon looking paler than ever in Sunoo's arms, he saw his smile disappearing, but it was all so fast that he couldn't say anything. “Here!” Sunoo bit his own wrist and put it in Park's mouth, who seconds later seemed to come back and coughed, choking on Sunoo's blood.

He sat on the floor and his head felt like it was hurting, he looked at Sunoo who had blood running from his mouth and his eyes were glowing yellow as tears streamed down his face. Sunghoon's heart was beating fast.

“I'm sorry, I'm sorry!” Sunoo asked, not understanding at what point he had lost control and almost sucked all of Sunghoon's blood, his head spun and Sunghoon blinked rapidly.

“Sunoo...” he began and threatened to touch Kim who dodged his touch.

“Hey, calm down Sun.” Heeseung said, bending down and trying to get closer, but Sunoo moved away too, not wanting his touch.

Sunoo couldn't stop thinking about Sunghoon's heart almost stopping and his body collapsing on his. He had done it, he had almost killed him for real. The others realized something was happening and the music died down.

“Sunoo, it wasn't your fault.” Sunghoon said, still a little dizzy. “Calm down.” he said, but the look in Sunoo's eyes was so unusual that he knew he wasn't well. And he clearly had guilt on his face.

“Don't touch me, I'm not going to touch you ever again.” he said and a sob came from his throat, just as the others were approaching, Sunoo quickly left and they only felt the wind as he passed them, then they heard the front door of the apartment slam and Ni-ki went over to see that Kim had left.

“What happened?” Jungwon asked, his head sore from the alcohol, but at that moment it seemed that his sobriety was returning.

“Sunghoon… you’re ok?” Heeseung asked and Park blinked a few times and sighed. He was one hundred percent sober, Sunoo had basically taken almost all of his drunken blood and given him his own.

“‘I’m fine, he didn't want to do it, I insisted, it wasn't a good moment.” he said and his body began to despair. “Fuck, shit!” he said, looking at Heeseung who fiddled with his hair,

“What the fuck happened?” Jay asked and Sunghoon looked at them. “Why did he leave like that?”

“I asked him to drink my blood, he didn't seem that sober I don't know, he denied it several times, but I insisted, so he gave in and he drank, only he didn't stop drinking..., he started sinking his teeth in a lot and then I almost lost consciousness for a second, and I came back soon after, he gave me his blood.” Sunghoon said, looking at them and they blinked a few times.

“Did he drink all your blood?”

“I think almost all of it, I felt like it was draining, you know?” Sunghoon confessed and felt his hands shaking. “He sensed that I was fainting and made me come back,” he said. “Shit, he didn't mean to, he would never do that on purpose...” Sunghoon felt his eyes fill with tears. “He's scared to death of losing control and...” the cry came out of his throat and he covered his face with his hands.

“Sunghoon, he will be fine.” Heeseung said and the others agreed. Sunghoon silently cried with his hands on his face.

It had taken so long for Sunoo to finally accept himself and agree to drink their blood, and because of that slip-up they were back to square one. Sunghoon knew that Sunoo would never hurt him, and he was bursting with guilt because he had denied it and Park had still insisted. The timing hadn't been right and the way Sunoo had looked at him and denied his touch, he knew it wouldn't be easy to resolve.

“Sunghoon, hey love, calm down, calm down, he'll be fine and you need to rest too, okay?” he listened closely and felt Jake's embrace warming him, but it didn't seem to appease his heart.

“Where is he?” Sunghoon asked between sobs and the others had no idea.

A few minutes passed and he hadn't returned. Jungwon saw Kim's phone on the sofa and started to get more nervous than before, it was dangerous for him to be walking down the street in the early hours of the morning alone, and not just because of that, because he certainly wasn't emotionally well and that made everything worse, as his feelings became much more intensified.

“Jiwon, text Jiwon!” Heeseung said and Jungwon regained some rational thought and picked up the phone, opening the messages with trembling hands.

jungwon:
hey jiwon
please
tell me he's with you!

jiwon:
hi
sunoo?
no
what happened?

jungwon:
we’re fucked
shit
tell me if he gets there pls

jiwon:
what happened jungwon?

jungwon:
he ran out of here
very unstable

jiwon;
calm down, I think it's him at my door
hi it's him, he's here

jungwon:
good, thank god
don't let him out

jiwon:
stay calm sweetheart
I'll help him
i'll tell you later

jungwon:
thank you noona

“Sunoo! Hey, hey, look at me!” Jiwon asked, holding him. The boy tried to hurt himself and Jiwon held his arms tightly so he wouldn't cut himself.

“I didn't mean to, I don't know why I did it, it wasn't supposed to be like this.” he said through sobs. ”He practically died on me, I almost killed him, why did I do it?” Sunoo was shaking uncontrollably and his eyes were glowing yellow, Jiwon had never seen him like that.

“You did what Sunoo?” she asked more firmly and he looked at her, his eyes showing sadness and fear.

“Sunghoon asked me to drink his blood, and I did...” he said in a tearful voice and a sob came from his throat. “I drank almost all of his blood, I felt him dying in me, he died in me.” Sunoo spoke with such pain and Jiwon seemed to feel it all on her skin. “I've never lost control before, I don't know what happened...”
Sunoo laid her face on Jiwon's shoulder and cried. She held him gently and let him cry; getting whatever he was feeling out was better than keeping it in. They stayed there for many minutes until he calmed down.

“Sunoo, what did you feel? How were you feeling before?” Sunoo no longer seemed so hysterical and she observed this.

“I don't remember, we were having a party, they were drunk, a lot, I was drinking too, but there was no effect.” Sunoo said. “Then I drank Jake's blood, and I got a bit dizzy, I don't know why...” he stopped and Jiwon looked at him. ”Could I have gotten a bit drunk because of Jake's blood?”

“Maybe, yes, it can happen, but you'll recover soon...” she said and looked at him.

“We continued the party and then Sunghoon told me to drink his blood, he was much drunker than Jake, I denied it several times, but he insisted and I couldn't get out of the situation, we were having such a good time...” Sunoo spoke and looked away, not wanting to talk directly about what they were doing. “And I drank, but it was different, I felt so ecstatic, Jiwon, more than any other time, I don't know why, I just wanted more, I wanted it forever, and then I noticed him stopping in my arms, his heart beating so slowly, he was so fucking pale.” Sunoo narrated, feeling tears coming down her cheeks.

“Sunoo, I know you've never lost control before, but this is very normal to happen..., and it won't be the first time.” Jiwon needed to be honest, she knew that Sunoo didn't like lies, didn't like false scenarios about what they were, so she was as honest as possible.

“I almost killed him, and then I remembered that I am that, I'm a monster.” He smiled at her, but it was a sad smile, his tears were glistening and he felt a hole open up in his chest. “I can't think about him anymore without seeing him dead in my arms, and it could have been any one of them.”

“Sunoo, you're not a monster.” she said and he sighed. ”I know the situation was bad, and possibly traumatic, but you would never do anything to hurt him because you wanted to, never, you love them so much, and sometimes it gets out of hand, but that doesn't mean it's always going to be like that.”

“But I can't get out of control, not with them, I can't.” he said and put his hands to his face.

“Jungwon was desperately after you.”

“How do you know?”

“He texted, Sunoo, they're not scared of you, you're actually more scared of them.”

The doorbell rang and Sunoo blinked a few times, Jiwon went to the door and as soon as she opened it someone ran past her, she only saw a figure, seconds later Sunoo could smell Sunghoon under his nose and his arms were squeezing him as if to make him melt into Park's body.

“Don't run away from me, don't do that, please.” he heard Sunghoon's voice, so serious and sounding so broken. “It was my fault.” Sunoo felt that feeling coming from him.

“I was the one drinking the blood, Sunghoon.” Sunoo said and felt his hands hold his face, his eyes red from crying, just like Sunoo's, they loved each other so much, it was pathetic.

“I asked you, I begged you to do it so many times and I overrode what you wanted, I'm to blame, not you.” he replied and Sunoo blinked a few times and denied it. ”Stop, don't do this, Sunoo, please.” Sunghoon begged and his gaze locked on Kim's. “Don't do it like that, don't walk away, it happened, but it's not the end of the world Sunoo, you gave me your blood and it's okay, please I don't want us to go back to square one, we've built up this trust for months.”

Sunghoon was desperate to think and feel that what they had molded for months was badly broken. He couldn't bear to live like the first days, he wouldn't go through that again. He would never let Sunoo feel like that again. He kept caressing Kim's face, which seemed a little calmer. He leaned his face closer to Sunghoon, who pressed his fingers there and kissed him on the corner of the mouth.

Sunoo was afraid, very afraid, and he couldn't let it consume him, he looked at Sunghoon and watched his eyes so passionately for himself, with that immense love that he had already felt on his skin. They spent some time just looking at each other, Sunoo smelled Heeseung and realized that he was there too, but he was looking at them from a distance.

“I don't know what happened to make me lose control like that...” Sunoo said and looked so disappointed. “I'm so sorry Sunghoon, so sorry.” he said with his eyes full and Sunghoon shook his head.

“It's okay my love, it's okay.” he said. “And my blood is very good, the best in that house, that's why.” Sunghoon whispered the last part in a joking tone and shrugged, looking at Kim who sighed and rolled his eyes, he wanted to laugh, and he knew that Sunghoon had said it with the intention of cutting the mood.

“No, it's not.” Sunoo retorted and Sunghoon turned his face towards him instantly with his eyebrows raised.

“You don't test me, Kim Sunoo, you know I'm jealous.” He squeezed his cheek, who turned his face away and let a smile appear on his lips.

Heeseung was leaning against a wall at the beginning of the corridor, he had Jiwon by his side and the two of them were watching Sunghoon and Sunoo sitting on the living room floor. Heeseung rolled his eyes seeing the two of them in the middle of a typical bickering, and at the same time his heart calmed down, he wouldn't know how he would cope if Sunoo walked away again and if Sunghoon did too, he would be losing the ground beneath his feet.

“You guys are so pathetic.” Heeseung came close to see them on the ground while they were already pecking each other and had growing smiles on their lips.

“And unfortunately you're in love with us like that.” Sunghoon replied with a smile and a confidence that went through the roof.

“You I can only tolerate.” Heeseung sat down next to him, sticking his tongue out at him, and laid his head on his shoulder, facing Sunoo. “Let's go home love, it's okay, the others are worried about you too.” he said seriously, but at the same time with gentleness and understanding.

“I'll be thinking about this for days, I'm sorry.” he said truthfully and Heeseung shook his head and Sunghoon sighed and did the same. “But okay...” Kim said quietly and the two in front of him sighed with relief. The calm was already getting to him and making him think better.

Sunoo said he was just going to talk to Jiwon before leaving, Sunghoon and Heeseung thanked her for looking after him and left the apartment leaving her and Sunoo alone.

“Sunoo, look at me.” She held his face in her hands and lowered it a little to look directly into his eyes. “That's not the end of the world, okay? You are without a doubt the most centered and self-controlled vampire I've ever met and turned,” she said and it was the truth. “You're doing fine, problems sometimes happen, and unfortunately we don't have much to do, just forgive ourselves and move on.” She ran her fingers over his face, which was trying to hold on to those words and make his mind latch onto them too.

“Thank you for always being here for me.” he said and hugged her tightly, closed his eyes and felt her stroking his hair. “I kinda love you.” he said to her. He looked very sincere.

“I kinda love you too.” She smiled and looked at him one more time before he went out the door.

Sunoo went the whole way in silence. Neither Heeseung nor Sunghoon pressured him to speak, nor did they want to, they understood that the situation was delicate, and although the tension was still there, Sunoo coming back with them was a huge relief.

Jungwon grabbed Sunoo as soon as he entered the house, Jake and Ni-ki had collapsed on the sofa after hearing that Sunoo was okay, Jay was cleaning the dishes in the sink and Jungwon was waiting anxiously for them to arrive. The two of them went out onto the balcony and Sunoo sighed, burying his face in Jungwon's neck.

He didn't cry, he just felt Jungwon's warmth and pulse as he stroked his face and hair. His best friend's lap really was a wound healer. Sunoo looked at him after a while and talked a little about how he was feeling, just about the fear and that it would take a while to pass. Jungwon assured him once again that everything was fine. And that they still trusted him with their eyes closed.

“I wanted to be more understanding of myself, just like you are,” he whispered and took a deep breath.

“We won't let you forget, Sun.” Jungwon said and Kim agreed.

The night passed very slowly, Sunoo took a shower and after going to bed, he lay quietly going over the images of that night in his mind. But when he felt Sunghoon's breath on his neck and Ni-ki's on his chest, he remembered that everything was okay. He wasn't a monster, and neither of them thought like that, they never had, and Sunoo clung to that. It wouldn't happen again, and he would work hard for it.

And at that moment, as selfish as he was, he thought that he wanted to turn them soon, just to stop suffering the temptation that was their blood.

And so, in the midst of so many things, Sunoo fell asleep, tired and with a whirlwind in his mind, it just decided to turn off, bringing him peace at that moment.
