Chapter Text

I SHIFTED uneasily in my seat, anxiously glancing around. I could no longer conceal my embarrassment. The realization that Gojo had returned my film left me feeling crushed. Had he seen it? The photos? Would he start avoiding me now? Just the idea sent waves of frustration and sadness through me.

The class seemed to stretch on forever as i concentrated on the lessons. I'm not the type to zone out; I'm actively engaged in school, even if i don't have many friends. I tend to focus on myself more than anything else. As i diligently take notes, my teacher carries on with the discussion. The thought of Gojo crosses my mind, both worrying and comforting you at the same time. I wish i had the courage to confess my feelings to him, but i can’t shake the feeling that there are others out there who are better suited for him.

Yet i couldn't shake the image of him sitting next to a woman, particularly if that woman was someone i despised. Of all people, why did it have to be my sister?

➽───────────────❥

The class comes to an end, and my classmates begin gathering their belongings. As usual, i remain seated, allowing them to leave as i wait for Gojo to finish up in his classroom. The mere thought of seeing him again, even from a distance, brings a small smile to my lips; just the sight of him fills me with joy.

For what felt like an eternity, Gojo lingered in his classroom longer than usual. Had something happened? Had he left during school hours or perhaps even early? The idea of not seeing him again made my heart ache until i suddenly heard faint footsteps approaching.

I paused, jolted from my seat as i turn my head toward the door. My eyes widen as i see Gojo strolling by with his school bag slung over his shoulder. For a moment, my cheeks flush as i wait for him to walk past. As soon as he's gone, i quickly rise from my seat, grab my bag, and make my way outside the classroom.

As always, i trail him from a distance, moving quietly with each step. Gradually, i pull my camera from the pocket of my bag, raising it to capture a shot of him. With a soft click, i return the camera to its place and continue following him as he walks home, just to ensure he arrives safely.

As i return home, i set my bag down beside my bed. I reach into the bag for my camera and scroll through the images until i come across the photo of Gojo that i snapped earlier. A soft smile spreads across my face as i gaze at the picture. After a few minutes, I placed the camera on my nightstand and then let myself fall back onto the bed, unaware that I'm gradually drifting off to sleep.

....

My eyes shot open to find my room shrouded in darkness. The only clear sight was the open window, through which a chill brushed against my legs and skin as i lay frozen in my bed. Paralyzed and speechless, i scanned the shadows surrounding me, feeling the weight of the night.

What is happening?

I can't move!

I attempted to wiggle a finger, forcing myself to take deep breaths to steady my nerves when, out of the corner of my eye, something caught my attention.

The door to my room was left ajar, granting me the freedom to move. I exhaled a sigh of relief and rose from my bed, making my way outside. With a dry throat, i decided to get yourself a glass of water.

As i stroll down the lengthy corridor, darkness envelops me, making it nearly impossible to see. Suddenly, i notice a peculiar room ajar, with a flickering light spilling out from beneath the door. With a hint of apprehension, i approach the entrance, taking a few deep breaths before stepping inside.

Photos..

Photos..

Photos..

My eyes grew wide, and i found myself frozen in place. There it was: my photo. A snapshot from my childhood, captured during a vacation with my parents. Another captured the excitement of my first day of school, and yet another showed me in my room at home. As i gazed at the images arranged on the walls and boards, a chill coursed through me.

In a heartbeat, i reached up, my hands shaking as i pulled down the photos. I couldn’t quite grasp the situation, but something about it felt deeply unsettling. Who could have taken these pictures? As i continued to rip them down, a sudden chill ran through me as i heard faint footsteps approaching. Panic set in, and i desperately searched for a place to hide.

My eyes widened when i spotted a small, unremarkable bed. I rushed to it, quickly crawling underneath, acutely aware that the person would find me any second. Despite the looming threat, i clung to a flicker of hope that they wouldn’t. As i waited in the cramped space, the door creaked open, and i saw a pair of feet step inside. The person halted, pausing to notice the torn photos scattered on the floor. I mentally scolded myself for ripping them apart, convinced that my hiding place wouldn’t remain a secret for long.

I observe the enigmatic figure pacing around mockingly, seemingly aware of my presence and eager for i to emerge from the bed. Frustration gnaws at me as i grasp that this person is toying with me, their intentions all too clear and unmistakable. It feels as if they anticipated my every move.

Come out..

My hear their voice, low and foreboding, sending a chill through your entire body as your heart races uncontrollably. Paralyzed with fear, tears fill my eyes as a quiet whimper escapes my lips, only to be followed by the sound of a mocking chuckle. I gasp in terror as the figure approaches the bed.

Before i had a chance to breathe, a long blade shot out from beneath the bed, causing me to scream in terror as i scrambled backwards. The blade retracted briefly before lunging forward again, this time much nearer to me. I continued to scream as i crawled until my back pressed against the wall.

“Come out!”The voice rumbles ominously as i hesitate, a chill racing down my spine. This is it—i realize this person intends to kill me. Yet, i find yourself frozen in bed, paralyzed by fear, unable to move.

Tears fill my eyes.

“Come out.. (_____)”The voice changes, shifting to a gentle and comforting tone. I blink a few times, puzzled by the sudden shift. I wonder if this was merely a tactic to coax i out, only to betray me afterward. I couldn’t bring myself to respond.

“I'll repeat. Come out”

“I—..”

COME OUT!

“I-i.. I don't—”i words trail off abruptly as the mysterious person yanks the bed away, discarding it carelessly. Panic engulfs me, and tears begin to well in my eyes. I squeeze my eyes shut, acutely aware that this feels like the end for me. Helpless, i can only cry in front of them. The figure remains still for a brief moment before kneeling down, their hand gently gliding across my cheek.

I jolted at the unexpected touch, my eyes squeezed shut while the person gently wiped away my tears. My heart raced, and i bit my bottom lip to steady yourself. A quiet sob escaped you as i sensed the person leaning in closer, their whispers brushing against my ear.

Mine...”

My eyes flew open, my head darting from side to side as i gasped for breath, your heart racing in my chest as i tried to steady myself. It was only a dream.

Just a.. dream...

.....

There i lay, sprawled in bed, staring up at the ceiling as my classmates' words echoed in your mind. I couldn't help but think that Satoru must see me as a creep by now.
Overwhelmed with embarrassment and shame, i decided to skip class for the day. Even if i take the whole week skipping classes, no one will even notice. My mom still dislikes you, and my dad is currently preoccupied; he'll be home this weekend.

I sank into my bed, feeling a wave of frustration wash over me. Rolling onto your side, i caught a faint sound drifting in from outside your house. Intrigued, i cautiously got out of bed and moved toward the window. As i peered out, my gaze was drawn to an unfamiliar car parked nearby.

What's that?

Noticeably parked near my residence, an unfamiliar car captures my attention. Suddenly, my sister emerges from the house, making her way towards the vehicle. As she approaches, a man emerges from the car, and i recognize his distinctively white hair. My eyes widen in surprise at the sight.

Why? Why...

Staring out the window with a clenched fist against the glass, mt teeth gritted in frustration. A heavy sigh escaped my lips as i ran a hand through my hair, turning away. Aching with hurt and betrayal, i pondered the cruel twist of fate. He had never belonged to me, a stranger to my very existence. Yet, why had my sister entangled herself with him? Me, who had first laid eyes upon him, were now left to witness her involvement with the one i had once desired. The injustice of the situation churned within me, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth.

Rage simmered within me as i watched them disappear into the house. My sister. My own sister. Did she not know I'd skipped school? Or was this intentional, a cruel game to make me jealous? The thought sent a fresh wave of anger crashing over me. My teeth clenched, and a vow hardened in my chest: I wouldn't let her win. Not this time. Taking a step back from the window, i forced myself to breathe, the cool air doing little to calm the storm brewing inside you. Then, with purpose, I left my room.

The faint sound of giggles drifted up from the bottom of the stairs, drawing my attention. I crept down slowly, my footsteps light and silent, my head tilted towards the source of the sound. My sister's laughter grew louder as i descended, and i couldn't help but roll my eyes at the childish sound.

“You're really something else, you know that?”Gojo's voice, a familiar melody, sent a tremor through my chest. Captivated by its sheer presence, i descended the stairs, my gaze falling upon the scene unfolding below.

“Am i now?”My sister, locked in an embrace with him, ignited a spark of irritation within me. Jealousy, sharp and stinging, pierced through my heart. How could she, of all people, be the one? My anger burned, an unwelcome guest in my soul.

I observe my sister intently as she begins to run her hands over him. Gojo's voice breaks the silence, releasing a low scoff, causing me to raise an eyebrow in response. My eyes widen slightly as i see her pressing her face against his neck, and i feel a darkening sensation in your gaze. I clench my fists, trying to restrain myself from intervening. I continue to watch as Gojo gently attempts to push her away for a brief moment.

“Wait—wait.. stop..”Gojo's words came out in a low mutter as my sister momentarily faltered, then resumed her progress. With a heavy sigh, Gojo rolled his eyes, then prodded her harder, causing her to stumble slightly. Her glare intensified as her eyes widened in annoyance.

“What the hell was that?!”As Gojo's eyes rolled upward in a gesture that could only be interpreted as mockery, my sister's voice echoed with a chorus of grievances.

“Oh, come on.. we're not even together”

“What—?!”

“You just wanted to make her jealous, right?”

“...”The silence pressed in around them, heavy and expectant. Gojo's smirk stretched wider, a mocking chuckle escaping his lips. He took a step forward, his movement mirroring the slight retreat of my sister.

As he drew near, my sister momentarily held her breath, her gaze fixed on him. Then, with a gentle lean, he whispered a secret into her ear.

“Cat got your tongue?”

Her eyes flew open, lips parting to speak, but the words died in her throat. Gojo's cruel low of laughter echoed in the silence, his amusement clear. He leaned in, a hand settling on her shoulder. She flinched at the touch, his mocking pout only deepening his amusement.

“I know that look...”

“You like me, huh?”
