’Happy Halloween, Parker and Eli!’’ Marta exclaimed, holding out two packs of gummy bears for the two of them. Parker and Eli both took a pack, ripped it open and started eating. ‘’Not too fast, or you’ll choke!’’ Marta chided.
‘’Geez, why do you care so much?’’ Parker asked, annoyed.
‘’Because I don’t want you to choke,’’ Marta answered.
‘’Anyways, how was Halloween for you two?’’ Eli asked, trying to lighten the mood.
‘’It was great!’’ Marta answered. ‘’I got lots of sweets to share with my friends!’’ she elaborated.
‘’How about you, Parker?’’ questioned Eli.
‘’It was fine. I did get a lot of lollipops, though. They’re my favorite candy!’’ Parker replied.
‘’I’m happy for you!’’ beamed Eli.
‘’You know what? Since we all went our separate ways for Halloween this year, let’s all go trick-or-treating together again next year!’’ Marta proposed.
‘’Yay!’’ exclaimed Parker and Eli in unison.
