"It smells like... victory."
Hermione giggled into his shoulder. "This is what victory smells like? It smells like a whole lot of sex to me."
"Exactly." Harry rolled onto his side so that their fronts were pressed together, just as they had been minutes ago when she was writhing beneath him. "This is the first time I've really felt like we won. Like it's over."
"I see." She lightly kissed him. "So, you needed to pump me full of your cum before you felt like the job was done, huh?"
He shrugged. "I needed to know that we were both alive, and that he isn't."
She sobered a bit, and kissed him more firmly. "We are. You beat him."
"We beat him." He kissed her back, wrapping his arms around her. "I never could have done it without you."
"And don't you forget it."
It was around fifteen hours since the end, since Voldemort fell to the floor of the Great Hall, dead. The day that followed had been a messy one, full of celebration and grief and exhaustion. It took hours for Harry and Hermione to sneak away, letting the Weasleys grieve their fallen member together, and they were too exhausted to do anything more than take a nap together that first time. Now, however, as they lay in the darkness in what had once been his bed in the Gryffindor Tower dormitory, they finally celebrated.
They'd had so few opportunities to sneak around at Shell Cottage. They'd hadn't had much privacy at all since Ron returned to the tent, and it was refreshing to finally be alone together again.
"I'm still alive," Harry murmured.
Hermione kissed him deeply. "Don't ever change that."
"We're still alive." He briefly wondered whether perhaps they shouldn't feel this tranquil and happy after everything, while others in the broken castle were grieving. But they had earned this. "We're still standing."
"Well, we aren't standing right now."
"No, we aren't."
She kissed him again, shoving his shoulder lightly so that he rolled back onto his back, and she moved on top of him. "Let's have more victory."
