Ace was contemplating. "Do you think I should dye my hair blond?" he asked. That model on the billboard kinda looked like Ace, but he had blond hair and he looked damn good.
"No. People would ask me if I was your father."
"We don't look anything alike."
"We don't. But given the fact that we are too men significantly apart in age, and I have already been asked once if I was your uncle, I have no doubt that people would assume." Because two men being somewhat affectionate in public spaces while also having a large age gap must mean some kind of familial relation, obviously. That was his own fault, preferring to keep the more romantic aspects of their relationship at home and spaces where he knew that that would Garner them no unwelcome attention. "I do not have a desire to increase our chances to be confused for each other's family members."
"I would look more like Sabo if I had blond hair too and he IS family."
"You would. But are you ready to pay the money for a good blond hairdoo? The upkeep would be a bitch."
"I was planning on just buying a bottle." He's not spending so much money on a new hair color. Mostly because he doesn't have the money for it. "I have neither the patience nor the money to go to a proper hairdresser."
Marco chuckled. "That, I believe. Going from black-haired to blond would take hours."
"I'd look hot with it, though."
"Have you ever not looked hot?"
Ace laughed. "Now that's the right response."
"I'm still expecting to come one day from work and see you blond," that was exactly something Ace would do.
"I might."
