Chapter Text
You run as fast as your legs will let you. The dead grass of winter being bent by your legs as you run. You have to get away. Get away from this place you unfortunately had to call home since you were two years old. You always thought you were adopted but it turns out father stole you from your real family. All because he was working with whoever wanted some kind of stupid revenge on your real dad.
You found the files in his office. Your “adopted” father took you when you were two years old and decided to keep you. He tries raising you to be like him. He tried to make you basically a princess for his empire, who knows her way around a sniper rifle.
You have no idea though how to get out of his home country. You need to get on a plane somehow. You took some of his money and expensive jewelry with you. Hopefully you can sell some of these jewels for good money.

After a long two weeks you finally made it out. You could only afford one flight to a few different countries and you chose England. Gloomy and rainy England. It’s way different from the snowy home you once lived in.
You somehow found your way to a military base. You tried to do research before running away. Trying to find militaries that your father doesn’t have up his sleeve. You found one. 141. Apparently they are a very elite squad.
You find the base and wait outside. Maybe a soldier will come help you. Thankfully you have never actually been in battle so your father’s enemies don’t know who you are. They can’t know. The name Makarov is now dead to you. You sit for a few hours before someone finally comes to question you.
You look up as a man in a skull mask stares quietly at you. You blink up at him and stand, wiping the mud from your pants. At least it wasn’t raining hard but it’s been a few hours so you’re pretty soaked. You hold out a shaky hand to him. “Um, I'm applying for a job. Call sign is um..” You trail off. You never had one before.
You look around and see some signs on the road. “Hazard.” You say.
The skull mask looks down at you, clearly unimpressed. “Ghost.” He states his call sign. “If you have a meeting with Price, follow me.” He says.
You nod and follow Ghost into the building. Water drips off of you and you almost slip on the floor with your wet shoes. He doesn’t even turn to look at you. You reach an office and Ghost knocks on the door.
“Enter.” A rough voice says. You step into the office. It smells faintly like cigars and campfires. The lights are yellow and the wood tones make it very cozy.
“You have a meeting with her?” Ghost asks. You shake from the cold rain now soaking into your bones. You smile sheepishly, now scared and regretting coming here. You should have gone to Canada instead.
“I don’t have any meetings but I’d like to know why you’re here. Sit.” Price says. He nods at Ghost who turns to leave and shuts the door.
“So who are you and to what do I owe the pleasure?” He asks.
You sigh and decide to be honest. The worst he can do is send you back to your father. Or torture you. They probably want information. You tell him how you discovered that you weren’t adopted, you were stolen. You obviously can’t remember who your real family is and you have no way of knowing now since Makarov lives all the way in Russia.
“I can help you. I can tell you everything I know. Honestly it isn’t much cause every time I was caught snooping in his office, I was thrown in the room with no windows.” You say.
Price listens and nods. Face emotionless to the information you’re telling him now.
“Please don’t torture me, I’ll tell you easily I swear!” You plead.
“I believe you. I’ll let you work with us. We could use you to get to him. But the second you slip up..” He trails off and you nod. He speaks again. “Are you military?”
“I was never put in battle but he trained me how to use a sniper.” You say and Price nods.
“We’ll have to train you. Welcome to the 141, Hazard. Don’t make me regret this because I’m already unsure if this is the right choice.”
You nod in understanding. “I will follow all your orders, I swear. If not then you can torture me or throw me to the wolves.”
“You have to meet the wolves first.” Price says. Time to meet the team who will probably want nothing to do with you. Will Price tell them who your “father” is? Maybe while working here they’ll help you find out who your real family is.
“First you need to see the base doctor. Just a standard check up that everyone gets. I’ll prepare a room for you and find clothes. There’s shops in the nearby town if you need to go get more things. But someone has to go with you. Just to make sure I can trust you.”
You nod. Welcome to your new life.
