Matt could feel Fogs gaze on him but didn’t know what to say, more like he didn’t think he should be saying anything.

"Are you still going to deny Castle didn’t do it for you? Really Matt?! His name isn’t connected to any of these murders but you know, we know Frank Castle is behind them."

Matt doesn’t reply and Foggy looks on in pure bewilderment at his best friend. "You don’t care, do you, Matt? That Castle will kill anyone, anyone if he thinks they are a threat to you, if he believes they are a danger to you.”

Foggy wanted to laugh and cry as Matt shook his head. Matt didn’t even realise how far gone he was for Frank. "No, no, I don’t, he won’t, Foggy. He doesn’t kill without —"

"God damn it, Matt!” Matt flinched. “You love him!" Matt looked away and Foggy couldn’t do anything but just accept the reality that was in front of him. "And your alpha loves you to the point of madness, Matt. He’d kill anyone in a heartbeat if he believes it’ll keep you safe.”

He looked at his friend, really looked and could see the faint red bruises, remnants of kiss marks on his collarbone and his neck. He is actually surprised Frank hasn’t claimed Matt as his omega. He was willing to bet his entire fortune, small though it may be, that Matt was hiding even more bites and bruises under his clothes.

Or maybe, he thought darkly, Frank is waiting for everyone who poses a danger to Matt to be sent off to morgue. Castle won’t stop until every threat to Matt is gone.

And now he has accomplished that without even letting his name come up in light again.

“Fisk is dead, Matt.” Matt finally looks in the direction of Foggy. “He is dead. So is his accomplice wife,” Matt buries his head in his hands, “Pointdexter is in a coma, he is completely broken, he will never make a recovery. He will not wake up. Frank took them out the minute they tried to hurt you.”

Matt doesn’t know what to say. He doesn’t think there is anything left to say.

He knows why Frank did it, he knows. And as much as a part of him hates the killings, a greater part is pleased that the alpha went so far to make sure he would be safe, not leaving any loose end lest they try to hurt Matt by going after his friends. Because Frank knows Matt wouldn’t be able to live with himself if anything ever happened to Fogs and Karen.

“Well, I guess we should just be glad Frank Castle officially doesn’t exist.”

“Foggy—”

“No, you can live a life with Frank, Matt. With Pete Castiglione.” Foggy shook his head, “I still don’t get how he can kill like that and not give a shit. But if he makes you happy, treasures you, keeps you safe, then maybe it’s not that bad a thing. I can see how content you are with him, Matt. I’ve never seen you this happy.”

He sighed, “I couldn’t stop you Matt, neither Karen nor I, from doing what you do. At least if Castle is with you, I can be rest assured I won’t find you half dead somewhere. Isn’t that the foremost instinct of an alpha, to protect their omega at any cost.” He nods to himself. “He’ll keep you safe. And I’ll be honest, that’s all that Karen and I care about.”

Matt could tell Foggy meant every word he’d said and the realisation was enough to make the last of his anxiety bleed out of him.

He smiled tiredly, making Foggy grin too. “Thank you, Fogs.”

For a while neither of them said a word. When Foggy did, Matt wished he hadn’t at all. Foggy just had to say that.

“But Matt, how is it you know?” Foggy snickered and Matt pursed his lips. He knew whatever Foggy will say now will annoy him.

“That day at court where Castle went completely off the rails, I think more than half of the people there didn’t care he was a lunatic cause he is hot. Even injured, Castle was able to garner that kind of response. It’s disturbing if we actually think about it.”

Matt groaned, “I don’t. How would I know? And I don’t want to hear about people finding my boyfriend hot.”

Foggy cackled, finding Matt’s irritation amusing. “Well, you make a perfect couple in any case. A beauty like you my friend and your ruggedly handsome alpha. Yup, you’ll be the envy of people, Matt. Better get used to it, counsellor.”

“Nelson didn’t give you grief?” Frank was surprised to say the least. He leaned in to scent Matt again. He hated, loathed when Matt didn’t carry his scent over his own soothing, refreshing omega scent.

Matt scoffed, turning so they were face to face and he could stroke Frank’s lightly stubbled cheek. “You want him to be mad? I think I am mad enough for everyone, Frank.”

His friends weren’t entirely right. He accepted he had Frank wrapped around his finger but same could be said for him too. Frank would be unbearably smug if he knew how much Matt loved him.

“Don’t care, I said it before, I’ll say it again,” Matt felt his heart beat faster as Frank tugged him closer, gently stroking his cheek, trailing his hand up to caress his hair, “I don’t care who I have to send to hell if it means you are safe, Red. I need you to be safe and well.”

He took a deep breath and Matt felt his indignation at the situation leave him, replaced by familiar love and affection he felt for his alpha. “And I don’t care how much blood gets on my hands for that.”

“I don’t want any more blood on your hands, Frank.” Matt laid his palm on Frank’s’ broad hand, thrilled to hear Frank’s heart race, his alpha scent flaring and entwining with Matt’s.

“I want you to be alright, to live with me.” He smiled wistfully, “they are all gone, Frank. Every threat to me, to you. Don’t we deserve to be happy now, free, to live with each other without looking over our shoulder that someone is out to get us?”

Frank shut his eyes tightly, forcing himself to not shed a single tear. “Yeah.”

Matt smiled softly, letting himself be pulled in Frank’s lap, his scent encompassing them both as Frank slot his lips against his, erasing every thought from Matt’s mind.

“Fuck, Red, I can smell your arousal, you are soaked.”

“Yeah?” Matt grinned, weaving his fingers through his alpha’s curls, brushing his lips against Frank’s once, teasing the older man who dug his fingers in Matt’s waist. He’s gonna leave more bruises on his body, the knowledge only sent another wave of pleasure through Matt.

“Can say the same about you, Frank.” He rubbed his dripping wetness over Frank’s clothed cock, loving the groan that spilled from Frank’s mouth. “I can feel how hard you are.”

He can’t wait to have him inside him, Frank was well endowed, too well, if he was being honest and it felt so so good, whether he fucked him hard and fast, whispering filth in Matt’s ear, licking his mating gland, or made sweet love to him, whispering endearments to him, always, always grinding against that spot inside him until it gave and Frank filled him with ropes and ropes of thick, hot cum.

“You are a goddamn tease, Red.”

“Only with you.”

“Yeah.” Frank said, his voice had that dangerous tone which never failed to arouse Matt, soak his underwear with his slick and cum. “Only with me. Cause you are mine, aren’t you, sweetheart?”

“Yes, God, yes!”

Matt didn’t remember much after that. The only thing that stood out clear to him was Frank sinking his teeth in his mating gland, binding them for life; gently, sweetly, too carefully, licking the bite, promising to always be with him, to protect and love Matt.

Foggy and Karen knew it had finally happened when they saw Matt step inside the office a week later, a different air around him. The two couldn’t contain their smiles as they took in Matt’s appearance. Being betas didn’t take their ability to know when an omega was claimed and mated. It was clear Frank had finally bit his nape, sealing their bond for life.

Foggy and Karen shared a look as they saw Matt smiling to himself, gently rubbing his nape which was no longer unblemished.

“I love seeing him so happy.” Karen whispered softly, looking fondly at Matt.

“Yeah, me too. Still.” Karen raised a brow at her boyfriend as Foggy face palmed, “I can’t believe it’s Frank Castle I have to thank for putting that smile on his face.”

Karen laughed, shaking her head, “they are happy with each other, let’s just take the win.”

Notes:

There is something so interesting about them in alpha/omega world, Frank going completely feral and doing anything to protect Matt.
