Made In America (A Poem)

Summary:

A little poem inspired by Wiley/Wilbur in "Made in America"
(And maybe a bit of real world politics shwoopsie)

Notes:

This is part one of a "Hatchetfield Poetry" series I want to write.
Enjoy :)

As you'll notice I snuck some really world politics in there, but I still tried to keep it close to the fictional aspect of it.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Made In America (A poem) - Audio

Take a bite,

Forget your name,

Forget the place from where you came.

Forget all hope,

There's only lust,

Give up the people,

In u.s. you trust.

Ignore the hate,

Don't see the pain.

All the protests,

All in vain.

Take a bite,

Love is a sin,

Hate rules the world,

Let the game begin.

Produce, product,

All of that kind,

Wipe the forbidden thoughts from your mind.

Cause we're all made in America,

The land of the free.

But this doesn't seem like freedom to me.

Control my thoughts,

Break my body.

They have no choice.

You silence them.

Not with threats or guns,

By law,

You forbid me to speak.

Speak out against the slavery I'm trapped in

Serving a god,

Obeying his commands,

Knowing dark eternity never ends.

Is this what is means to be made in America?

To carry around this green scar.

Of love,

Of past,

Of family

I'll do anything to set me free.

Because I wish I wasn't:

Made in America.
