It's going to be another season of SUPER ILLIT, and today is supposedly the day where the five girls would be recording the first episode of Season 4. Iroha had spent a total of five minutes preparing herself, making sure her appearance was perfect. Iroha was both nervous and excited, as they haven't been able to have time to record SUPER ILLIT for a while now… She missed recording the episodes with her friends.
As the five girls settled down at the set, the show began very quickly. The supposed gimmick of the episode was that the five girls were doing random challenges with each other to strengthen the bond between each of them. Whilst Yunah and Minju were doing their challenges together, Iroha occasionally sneaked glances at Wonhee for a long time, and Wonhee was possibly doing the same thing. She wanted to sneakily pinch her cheeks at first, but she ended up not doing so out of shyness. Wonhee still looked so cute…
“Let's move on to the next game!” Minju announced eagerly. Then, Moka turns to Wonhee and Iroha, asking, “Wonhee, do you want to be next?”
“Yes, yes, I'll be next!” Wonhee nods frantically, then her attention turns to the bowl, which was filled with tons of colorful folded papers with challenges written out on the inside. Iroha was pondering what Wonhee would get, and also silently wishing she'd do it with her.
As Wonhee pulls out a tiny pink paper, she unfolds it and carefully reads it out loud, “The challenge for me is… Oh? ‘Play the Pocky Game with the member you're the closest with’?”
Iroha's eyes widened, “Oh! Wonhee is playing the ‘pocky game’??”
Wonhee laughs, “Aah! Do I have to be the one to do the challenge?”
“You picked out the challenge, Wonhee, you have to do it!” Moka insists, letting out a giggle after.
Yunah added, “Oh, but the challenge says you have to do it with the member you're closest with, right?”
Iroha's face flushed red, still maintaining her smile as she began getting a little nervous, “Who are you closest with, Wonhee?”
Wonhee hums to herself, her fingers tapping against the table as she thinks further. Iroha's shoulders tensed, her grin spread wider. She's fully aware she shouldn't be this excited, there's a chance Wonhee would pick anyone else but her, but she still has hope. Wonhee was her best friend, after all.
Wonhee nervously chuckled, “Aaaahh, I'll play the ‘Pocky Game’ with…–” She paused, turning to Iroha with her index finger pointed at her, “–Iroha!”
Shocked gasps fill the entire room, including Iroha herself. Her? Wonhee? Playing the Pocky Game together?! It was baffling, making her adrenaline rush. Of course, it wouldn't be *too* awkward, right? It's just Wonhee, her wonderful, adorable friend.
“Do I have to stand up?-” Wonhee asks the staff behind the cameras, and the staff nods back at her. Wonhee got up from her seat, and Iroha followed along. A staff member walks towards them to hand out a box of Pocky, and Iroha takes the box in her hands, muttering a soft ‘thank you' to the staff.
“Fighting!” Wonhee murmured to her quietly, their usual way to boost both their confidence up.
Iroha tears off the packet slowly, pulling out a single stick of Pocky. She was really nervous, they were about to play a challenge where their lips would almost collide… Maybe Iroha could purposefully break it in half somehow? She didn't know what to do other than play along.
“Are you ready?”
“Yes!” Wonhee says ecstatically. If Wonhee doesn't seem to care much about the implications, then Iroha shouldn't think too deeply as well.
She took a deep breath, bringing the stick into her mouth as she awaits for the other girl. The other members were cheering them on for them, as Wonhee bites the end of the stick. The game has started now. Iroha was sure that, if Yunah and Minju could somehow avoid touching lips back then when they did this before, then surely she can do the same with Wonhee, right?
They were slowly getting closer as the Pocky stick gets shorter, and tension builds up as the space between them almost barely exists. Wonhee seems to be doing it slightly faster than her, but by being this up close, she can also see that Wonhee was a little nervous as well. The two locked eyes for a moment, and both giggled quietly. She could see that Wonhee's face was also beginning to turn red from this.
When the two were closer than expected, Iroha almost froze in her place. Soon enough, the stick got short enough, and they were almost touching lips. Iroha was thinking that, maybe by now, Wonhee would already be running away from embarrassment.
Though, something a little different happened instead. When Iroha and Wonhee were biting until they almost met in the middle, Wonhee slightly stumbled on her feet, and for a split second, their lips brushed against each other. Wonhee's body tensed, and she instinctively pulled away afterwards.
“Oh, is it a tie? It's a tie!” Yunah stated, and clapped her hands along with Minju.
Wonhee laughed, “The Pocky was really delicious, It’s nice I get to do it with Roha!” She uttered, glancing at Iroha timidly. Iroha laughed with her, but no words came out of her mouth. Iroha was *so* sure their lips were touching for a split second, either that, or she was losing her mind. They both sat back down at their seats, and the show just went on normally. It's almost as if Iroha didn't just go through that.
Iroha touched her lips, her eyes kept darting right back at Wonhee. Her lips were definitely soft, and looked more sweet up close. She looked at the other members, and saw Moka glancing right back, giving her a wink. Iroha was slightly taken aback, unsure of what Moka was doing.
Now that she thought about it, did anyone even notice that their lips touched slightly? Did *Wonhee* notice? The episode would get released soon, and every GLITT would see it– surely someone will see right? Not that Iroha wants people to see! It'll be so embarrassing, even when Iroha may have liked it…
Iroha needed to focus. She can't be thinking about Wonhee this way– not when they're in the middle of their show. Iroha takes a deep breath, then zoning in back into the girls' conversations.
