"Be a good boy"
Dan Heng sighed a little annoyed as his mother was fixing his clothes, like he was still a baby, while his father was looking around, making sure nobody was taking pictures.
The bodyguards were keeping the whole place empty under Dan Heng's father orders.
"Mom, I will be fine" he laughed a little as his mother had her eyes teary "It's just for one year, I will surely have more fun than here" he closed his eyes as his mother pinched his cheeks
"I don't want to hear anything from Professor Chen. Make sure to always take your suppressor and do not cause any trouble. You're an omega but you're definitely a walking bomb" she looked at his father "Guess you definitely took from SOMEONE"
Dan Heng's father rolled his blue eyes and kept his hands inside the pockets of his suit "Said the woman who literally almost cut my leg once"
"I just wanted to help with the gardening!"
"Oh right, you did amazing, honey"
Dan Heng couldn't help but laugh a little, recognizing for a moment his mother and father without the weight of their family name.
Dan's Family was one of the strongest family in Italy. They literally had something like a fashion Empire, always working with important, famous marks, ensuring their title of the richest family in that country.
But sadly, even being that powerful didn't give his relatives enough power to protect Dan Heng. As soon as it was told that the son was an omega, everyone started to crawl and literally pursue Dan Heng in order to mark him and get him, just to get a slice of that power.
Dan Heng's family of course wanted to ensure their son to take care first of his education and dream, but in the last years, people were even harrassing him in the University, leading his father to ask for help to the police.
But as their son was an omega, the Alphas who were trying to get him were all from known families as well and for how the society was, it was okay for their son to get already a mate, there was no point in keeping him without any alpha's mark.
Dan Heng's father knew his son wasn't interested in any of those things, but sadly he got himself entangled in a rush, a battle from all the italian families to get him.
And Dan Heng's pheromones had sadly an incredible strong, alluring scent. Alphas were just looking at him as the best mate.
Dan Heng was literally seen as the "golden bite".
His father knew too well how the italian families and organizations were moving.
For that reason, he knew the best was to send him for his last year of University, abroad, back to China, the country they've lived till he was seven, away from all that chaos, in order to at least get his degree in peace.
Dan Heng didn't even try to find another way, he actually wanted to peace for himself as well. His friends were omegas and already engaged even, everyone was pushing him to just get an alpha to avoid getting harrassed since he was from Dan's family.
Of course, with elegance, Dan Heng replied with the middle finger.
Dan Heng was the typical omega that would literally actually get in fights against Alphas even. But he knew most of the times he couldn't let himself into fights for the possible scandals.
"It's time" one of the bodyguards said and Dan Heng smiled at his family
"Thank you, then... I will go" he wore his mask and kept his sunglasses and hat on. He was already with his suppressor.
From that moment, Dan Heng would have kept getting those in order to be seen as beta. The Suppressors he was taking were enough strong to keep his pheromones locked or almost impossible to be felt apart from of course keeping in check the heat cycles. Hopefullly, he would have finally get through his University year in peace and hopefully with real friends to enjoy time with.
"Dan Heng, remember that once you will get your degree... Back to Italy we will move to choose an Alpha that won't bring too many problems"
Dan Heng nodded a little to then tilt his head "We will take care of the matter once I am back" he smiled lightly and his father nodded.
After a goodbye hug to his family, Dan Heng got in the airplane and sighed happily.
"Finally" he wore his headphones and closed his eyes, enjoying the music. The more the time was passing, the more he was feeling less weight on his mind.
Being away from all that chaos... Being an omega of a powerful family was an hassle. Nothing Dan Heng wanted to deal with.
But University became slowly hell for him. Alphas were trying so hard to trigger him by imposing their pheromones on his clothes and even in the classrooms. Dan Heng would find himself carried by his bodyguards, or sometimes he would just skip lessons.
He looked at his hands trembling once his mind sadly did remind him that one day... Everything almost fell apart. That one day he felt helpless, forced to do as an alpha he thought his best friend pleased... The nightmare was still vivid in his head and pushing him to run away from anything related to those stupid Alphas.
He opened his laptop and decided to study, thinking about all the friends he had left in his University. He couldn't tell anyone his family's plan as he actually wasn't trusting anyone anymore, for obvious reasons.
His family literally wanted nobody to know he would have travelled away for his last year and Dan Heng was honestly fine with it, he was exhausted of that social pressure.
He felt his heart pounding from happiness once the landing got announced.
Once he got off the plane and dealt with the border controls, showing his nationality card and also the proof of his exchange year in one of the Universities, he smiled as he noticed one of his father's bodyguard, dressed as a civil, waving at him.
He had to look like a distant Uncle, to avoid possible rumours.
Once the two got in the car, the bodyguard did greet him "Welcome, Dan Heng, I am sure you will love the apartment your family got for you"
"I hope it's nothing too big as I kindly asked for a little place" Dan Heng smiled to then tilt his head once the bodyguard grit his own teeth nervously "... Porca puttana" he swore in italian with an annoyed tone "I fucking asked them!" he cried out and the bodyguard smiled innocently
"But, Dan Heng! You're Dan's unique son! Even the butler gave his approval on your father and mother's choice for the apartment their baby will live for a year" he spoke with stars and maybe some tears in his eyes.
"Baby... Ah..." Dan Heng laid his own hand on the forehead, trying not to get mad literally in the first hours of his new life in that country "Whatever... bring me fast home, I need to get out and get suppressors"
"Oh I can drop you off and get those for you" he said as he was driving through the night streets.
Dan Heng was enjoying the view of the city lights. Everything felt so different and fresh, he couldn't wait to actually step outside and explore the city during his studies. No cameras, no alphas or bodyguards chasing him.
He would have made the best out of that year.
"No, I am here alone. After you drop me, get back to your life. I can take care of myself" he cut him off and the bodyguard sighed once he parked the car.
Dan Heng got off the car and the bodyguard helped him get the luggages.
"This is my number, I am Matteo by the way" he shook his hand and Dan Heng nodded as he got his number written in a piece of paper along with other two numbers "This one is professor Chen, he's the one your father got in touch to get your papers in the University and accept you. Your document says you're officially a beta, so make sure you keep yourself with the suppressor" he crossed his arms "And also, in your heat cycle, it's better you stay home, you have strong pheromones, it's better to avoid any contact with your collegues" he then pointed at another number "This is the doctor of the school who also has a private clinic nearby this residential zone, she will take care of you if you feel ill, alright?"
Dan Heng nodded a little "Thank you... What about the... keys of my apartment?" he coughed embarassed and Matteo opened up his eyes
"Oh right! I almost forgot" he laughed innocently and Dan Heng rolled his eyes amused "Here you go" the bodyguard fixed his jacket "Well, goodnight Dan Heng, be well! If you needd anything you can always call me! I am living in the city as well"
Dan Heng smiled "Thank you, Matteo, right now I just wish to have some rest, but will keep it in mind"
Dan Heng looked around after Matteo took his leave. He sighed hard as he noticed that was definitely a rich district. The skyscrapers, the city lights and the perfectly mantained streets and parks. That residential zone was surely a top pick for big families.
"And they told me to keep low profile" he muttered annoyed as he entered in the palace, trying to remember at which floor his apartment was.
He almost did sweat to move all his luggages inside the elevator. In that moment he had the image of the bodyguard smiling in a weird way and he himself saying "Oh I dOn'T NeEd Help"
"Coglione (moron)" he insulted himself in italian to then smile once he finally reached his floor and soon his apartment.
It was big, but the view was beautiful. He didn't want to get spoiled, but those were the rare moments he didn't want to complain about his family power.
"Okay, let's try not to fall asleep, I have to rush to take my suppressor... I should buy enough for a week so I am covered" he sighed "I should be careful... this is because my mother made me smell like a damn cake for Alphas" he cursed looking at the roof to then try not to lose it.
He looked at himself in the mirror and sighed "I look like a stalker or someone who wants to kill someone" he cried a little as he had still a cap, black mask covering his mouth, sunglasses and a very oversize black hoodie covering partially his leg wrapped by the skinny jeans "Who the fuck wears sunglasses at night?" he cursed himself to then give up. He was just too tired to change his clothes.
He got out the apartment and he used the navigator to find the nearest drugstore. He walked and got shivers feeling actually the temperature there was way colder than Italy.
"Should be near" he muttered, focus on looking at the directions on his smartphone. He almost coughed as he felt the strong smell of alcohol and alpha pheromones.
In that moment, a group of guys was laughing and walking on the same street as Dan Heng, to the opposite side. Some were probably high and laughing while some others were laughing at them being high.
They looked like students just like Dan Heng, but he was too focus on finding that damn drugstore to even raise his head and notice them.
"Blade, you should have seen her! She was head over heels for you, I would have had a catch"
"Yeah, right!"
"You're totally drunk guys" a long black haired man, wearing his leather jacket, white shirt and black skinny jeans, was walking and ignoring his friends taunts.
Exactly in that moment, Dan Heng walked past them. The red eyes of the taunted man, for a moment left a glance on his side, seeing a guy wearing... sunglasses? Cap?
He blocked himself for a moment, and his eyes opened up as he swore he did smell an awful lovely scent for his likings. He felt his red eyes literally glowing of hunger in just a second that man walked by.
His friends looked towards the same direction, confused by Blade's reaction as they probably didn't smell anything since it was a very little scent because Dan Heng's suppressor's effect was just done.
"Are you okay, Blade?" one of his friends asked "Did you maybe remember tomorrow we have two hours of statistic?" he teased while the others were laughing.
Blade rolled his eyes and looked at his friends "Pretty funny" he said ironically "Get home safe guys, I am almost home" he said to then walk literally to the opposite side of where his house was, making his friends confused.
Dan Heng meanwhile sighed happily once he got off the drugstore with a little bag where the suppressors were.
"Now I just have to go home and finally sleep!" he smiled excited "First day, and I am doing so well" he had a proud smirk.
He walked happily to then feel some shivers as he noticed someone behind him walking.
He turned a little and noticed the black haired man actually looking at him.
"Cazzo...(Fuck)" he swore as he noticed they were literally walking on the same street.
He kept walking, even faster, but he felt still that behind behind him.
Shivers crawling in his skin, Dan Heng was already panicking.
"Hey."
Dan Heng froze and kept walking like he hadn't heard. He began walking fast and Blade tilted his head to then walk faster and opened up his eyes once he noticed Dan Heng literally running.
It ended up with Dan Heng running in another side, to avoid the stalker to actually find his home.
"Hey! Why are you running?"
Dan Heng did tremble as he noticed the man panting as he was chasing him.
Blade didn't even know why and how. But he ended up punched in the face and on the ground.
He was too shocked to actually react in that moment. He looked at the weirdo running away and at that point he sighed heavily.
"What the hell was his problem?" Blade muttered annoyed as he walked back to his apartment.
And everything was even funnier when Blade got to the palace and his floor.
He couldn't help but smirking as he noticed the same guy who punched him, swearing in another language while he was trying to open the door of his apartment.
"God, my hands are trembling, it's so cold" he cried out to then hear someone coughing.
And that was the moment Dan Heng looked at the man he tried to run away from, opening the door of the apartment next to his and entering, leaving an annoyed glance at him.
"Oh... So, he wasn't a stalker"
Dan Heng entered in his apartment to then open up his eyes as he could feel a strong scent of pheromone. Was that man?
He felt himself blushing and he moved fast to get his suppressors. After a hot shower, he ate some of the snacks he brought from Italy and literally fell asleep in his bed.
"I do hope, everything will be peaceful here" Dan Heng sighed as he wrapped himself in the blankets of the big bed of his apartment...
Little did he know, that the next day, he would get straight to his head that his life would have never been any more chaotic than that.
