Chapter Text
Well, this was a new one.
For once in his life, something in Medkit's kitchen had been there long enough to expire: milk. A shame, really. Sword would be coming by soon, and chocolate milk was his favorite drink available at Medkit's apartment– the one and only reason Medkit always made sure he had chocolate syrup.
He sighed, pulling out his phone. If he guessed correctly, Antique and her little brother would be at the store by now. Why his neighbor was so willing to just.. buy his groceries and then refuse to let him pay her for them, he still didn't understand, but it wasn't something to complain about.
The call rang for a few moments, before a click of the other side connecting came through; it wasn't Antique's voice that answered.
“Kit!” A younger voice rang out excitedly, Antique's little brother: Craft Box.
“Hello Box.” Medkit greeted. “Are you and Antique still at the store?”
“Yes!” The young Inphernal confirmed with a chirping noise. “Need?”
Medkit smiled slightly. "If you and Antique wouldn't mind picking up some milk for me, that would be appreciated."
“Yes!” Box agreed happily.
“Thanks kiddo, say hi to Antique for me.”
“Kay! Bye Kit?”
“Mhm, see you Box.”
With that, the call hung up.
Medkit continued about his tasks that didn't require milk, heating up his stove and preparing himself an omelette. By the time he had finished eating it and was washing his few dishes in the sink, a knock came on his door. He came over to open it, a young Inphernal– with purply horns– bouncing on their feet with a carton of milk, which they held up to him.
“For!” Box proclaimed happily.
Medkit couldn't help but smile at them, taking the carton of milk and patting them on the head– careful of their horns. “Thanks kiddo.”
The young Inphernal made a quick squeak noise before signing ‘you’re welcome’ to Medkit, then waving. Medkit waved back, closing the door once they'd turned away.
They really were a good kid.
