“So do you think the whole time the eclipse is occurring, Artemis is calling Apollo a little bitch?”
Jason couldn’t help it. He spat his soda out at that comment, trying very hard (and failing) to hold back his laughter at that. After all, he knew what the gods were like — they all did — and it wasn’t like he wanted to get on the bad side of any temperamental deities right then.
Percy, on the other hand, seemed to have no such qualms. He immediately started cackling at Nico’s comment, almost falling off his chair. Nico, on the other hand, rolled his eyes at his friends’ reactions to his comment, though he was fighting a grin himself.
Jason cleared his throat as soon as he’d calmed himself down. “You’re only saying that because your boyfriend isn’t here to tell you off for calling his dad a little—”
“Hey guys,” Will suddenly walked into the room, stopping Jason in his tracks as he sat down beside Nico. “What are you talking about?”
“The eclipse,” Nico said, giving the other two a look warning them not to say anything they shouldn’t.
Seeing the grin on Percy’s face, he knew instantly that it was going to be a challenge to get them to keep their mouths shut (or rather, just a challenge to keep Percy’s mouth shut).
Will groaned. “Seriously? I’m not looking forward to hearing my dad complain about Lady Artemis calling him a little bitch—”
“She does call him a little bitch!” Percy started cackling again, and Jason burst out laughing, leaving Will looking confused and Nico with his head in his hands.
“Did I say something wrong?”
“No,” Nico muttered. “No, my cousins are just idiots.”
