You weren't quite sure how you got the attention of the sheriff of Ross County. You weren't looking for such a spotlight. In fact, you tried to fly just under the radar. People knew you but not that well. They knew you were good people and could be trusted. They also wouldn't believe you were the one running a group of slightly rebellious women -young and old alike- intent on causing mild havoc in Ross County.
Somehow you found yourself in the passenger seat in the sheriff's patrol car driving down the road to a little place he wanted to try for dinner. Lee was quite an interesting character. He could be this charming, almost silly person like right now when he was singing along with the radio, looking at you between lines.
“Hey, hey baby... I wanna know… if you’ll be my girl...”
There were times when you felt Lee wasn't the great upstanding citizen the people had elected as Sheriff. You had no evidence to back that up. It was just a gut feeling. Lee hadn't hurt you though. He didn't force you to do things you didn't want. He was very much the gentleman. You just couldn't shake that feeling.
You weren't sure how long Lee would be interested in you or if it was even genuine. Did he suspect you of such tomfoolery? Was this all a ploy to get to the bottom of petty crimes (not even that, they were more inconveniences)? If Lee was genuine and wanted to make this a permanent thing you'd go along with it. You did care for the man even if something set you on edge.
A hand on yours brought you to the present. Lee gave you one of his charming smiles that put you back at ease.
