Chapter Text
"In the beginning God created the heavens,
In the beginning God created the earth,
but the earth was in chaos, and the darkness ruled everything;
then God's Finger created light, then God's Finger created the men,
then God's Finger created the ones who seduce, the world expanded, everything changed, and someone asked,
Has God changed, or we changed gods?"
The creature dreamed, it was dreaming for quite a while, it doesn't remember when the dream stared, nor when it ended; but when the creature realized, it was running away from home, it was hungry and couldn't think clearly; but the dream still was behind it's blue eyes. A sweet memory from the Lords.
It ran as far as possible, with it's bare feet on a plain black rock, the creature didn't felt the need to stop, but when it did, the sky was dark, the air was cold and the shadows stalk from behind the trees. The creature spotted a building, very different from it's home, made of something that wasn't the smooth gray stone from it's home walls; the material was hard, but the creature had the impression that thing could break easier then rock, it was made from the tiniest fiber the creature has ever seeing, and it could fell off when scratched by the creatures nails.
The interesting building had some steps that lead to double door, wich door had a colored glass window that formed the silhouette that looked like two bars, one on the top of the other, the creature knew that material breaks very easily; so with it's right hand, the creature opened a hole, reaching for the handle, but it was locked; the creature kept breaking the glass, until it could get in the building.
Once it got in, the creature observed the walls and the ceilling, all made from the same material from outside and the floor; even though its was very dark inside, the creature could distinguish the benchs, the pillars, the windows and the corridor that goes from the door, it just broke, to the altar in the back of the building.
The closer the creature get to the altar, more clearly it could see the images, in the center stood the same crossed bars from the the glass in the door, but now with the body of a man nailed there, he was bleeding from the wounds in his hands, feets and side; but the crown in his head had more blood then the others, and still he faced upwards, looking for something above all this. The creature don't know how much time it spend looking at the the central image, but while doing it, the creature forgot the hungry and pain on it's tired feets; and it's mind tried to get back to the dream; but the thing that answered was the voice in the back of the creature's mind, the creature didn't get scared by the voice, it was there even before the dream, it was it's own voice; that softly spoke to itself. "He did it for love."
Looking around the creature spotted another image, this one was way smaller then central one, on the left of the nailed man, the image of a woman holding a child, they wear golden crowns, with blue and red clothes; with winged kids around them. The woman's glaze was soft, gentle and merciful; like she loves anything that stand before her and her child, even the creature. In this instant the creature felt the desire to be held in the mother's lap, a desire stronger then its hunger, but with the same sensation of fire burning it's inside, from the stomach to the throat. Without deciding between crying or breaking the image, the creature just walked away from it.
Walking around a bit, the creature found more images, but one was more interesting then the others, a man in a shining armor, riding a white horse and stabbing a red dragon in the heart with a spear. That scene in particular caught the creatures attention, it was so inspiring, so exciting, so true, so necessary. The creature took more time looking at it, absorbing the message the image wanted to teach, then the others less interesting of people holding books, plants, kids and those crossed bars; only the image of a winged man holding a sword and stepping on horned man's chest made the creature try to understand the scene for a while.
But after sometime, it started to get tired and hungry, but it doesn't seem to have anything edible in the place, the creature then just curled up in itself before the altar; it didn't took long to the creature just fall asleep on the ground before the nailed man; it was a deep sleep, but with no dreams.
The next morning, the creature woke, still laying on the ground, it let their eyes absorb the light coming through the windows, lighting the ceiling and the images, they're even prettier; moving it's hands down the creature felt something warm with texture, looking down it realized it was a blanket, that was not there before; abruptly the creature got up, looking around, right in front of it was some bread, beacon, eggs, milk and juice; without thinking twice it started to eat, the creature was so hungry that it got no space in it's mind to worried about it; only when finished the meal, the creature looked ahead, the front door was open, and in the little stairs, looking at the road, a man sat; the creature rushed to hide behind the benchs, getting ready to attack when the man cames to it; but it didn't happened, both of them just sat on their respective places for hours; and this cicle repeated for the next couple of days.
The creature sleeps inside the building, by the morning the man comes, bring food to it, then proceeds to sit in the stairs the whole day, while the creature hides and avoids him.
And one day the creature decided to approach the man, out of curiosity, if he attacks, the creature can just run as far as it can, or as it was willing to pick up a fight.
The man looked at the creature that was approaching from behind him, and spoke "Hi, how the girl feels, are you hurt? And may I know your name?" The girl got closer, but also not to much, looking the man up and down, then fixing on his eyes she answers "Erika."
