"I stabbed you to death, why won't you die?"
Holding a bloodstained silver stake, the human female hunter charges headlong towards her ex-fling, a male vampire. With her arm ominously held high, poised to deliver a fatal stab, she however stops short right in front of him.
A second passes by as she stares at him with a defiant, piercing look, despite his height towering over her.
She expects rage. She expects an attack. Or him to flee even. But catching her off guard is a pair of muscular pale arms embracing her tightly. The camera dramatically zooms in to show her hand still gripping the stake tightly, yet to let go, akin to how she still hasn't let go of this supposedly 'in the past' relationship.
The screen goes black, creating an abrupt cliffhanger, followed by a snippet that teases next week's episode. Quick cuts across different scenes heavily allude to further development of the pair's relationship with a salacious hint of bedroom activities.
And then, the credits roll.
"What the heck? I was rooting for her to drive it into his evil heart!" Minjeong grumbles, pushing her body away from Aeri's embrace (guess the show's heroine isn't the only human who finds herself in the arms of a vampire).
Though Minjeong's movement barely jostled a sleeping Jimin, who had dozed off before the episode even hit the halfway mark, slumped against the other side of the sofa.
It's a weekly Thursday night ritual for the three of them to watch this supernatural vampire show.
Aeri and Minjeong are fans right from the first episode — it's now in its second season — while Jimin ("I don't know how Aeri can be a fan of a show about killing vampires." "It's fictional, Jimin, and you know I love watching juicy scenes." "Ewww Aeri!" "What baby, you like seeing those too, especially when they have se—") is simply happy to spend time with her girlfriends.
"Baby, we still have five episodes left. Bet he'll meet his end in the last one,” Aeri says, still reclining comfortably next to Minjeong.
The word 'staked' is a sensitive word in their household and is not to be mentioned. Before Minjeong ever came into their lives, Jimin had gotten it twice while Aeri had survived a couple of them. The painful part of their history is in the past and Minjeong is grateful every day that her vampire lovers are safe and sound with her.
"If that dude didn't die yet, this means there are more chances of sexy scenes in the coming episodes. Baby, you know Aeri's just being a perv—" Oh, so now the other vampire is awake from her nap.
"Jimin, the only time your eyes are glued to the screen is when they are making lo—"
And now Minjeong finds herself sandwiched between her two vampire lovers talking about the show's 'sexy times'.
Jimin suddenly grabs Minjeong, shifting the human onto her lap. With Minjeong's back now resting flushed against the vampire's front, Jimin is playfully using her as a human shield against Aeri.
"Aeri is bullying me, Minjeongie. Baby, you have to protect me."
At the other end of the sofa, Aeri snorts. Minjeong giggles.
"What's so funny now, baby?" Aeri asks and makes a show of crawling towards Minjeong and baring her fangs.
Jimin bares hers too, nuzzling against Minjeong's neck, tightening her arms around the smaller human, not letting her escape.
Her lovers had just fed from her recently so she knows Jimin and Aeri are just messing with her right now; all bark no bite.
Minjeong whines at being ganged up by those two. She squirms in Jimin's arms and now she is Aeri's target.
Aeri has her arms around them, effectively caging Minjeong between her and Jimin, making a human sandwich. The two vampires squeeze their cheeks to either side of Minjeong's pouty face, laughing.
They both then give kisses to Minjeong's cheeks, hugging her tightly between them.
And much to Minjeong's horror, Jimin and Aeri lick her cheeks, deliberately wetting her skin with their saliva.
"Baby tastes so good-," Jimin teases Minjeong while Aeri lightly nips the skin of the human’s earlobe.
"-as usual," Aeri continues Jimin's sentence.
The two vampires instantly received well-deserved smacks with the sofa cushions by a very disgruntled (but still adorable!) Minjeong.
