Chapter Text
It was sunny outside, and the birds twitched in the trees as the street warmed up and people spilled out onto the sidewalks. Light pooled the pavement like spilled honey.
"What a wonderful sunny day to begin with, the kind that makes you remember why you dont rush through ─ mornings." said Zam as he gets out from bed with a warm smile, the kind of smile people used to get even without asking.
As he steps out from his bedroom, he remembered something really important and special, a gift.
"Oh right! isn't it ─ Wemmbu's birthday today? Almost forgot to prepare a gift for him. I should go to shower first before I do that. People would ─ probably smell like garlic when they're near me. Haha..!" said Zam to himself, as he goes in to the bathroom with his towel on his right shoulder.
After Zam finished showering already in his bedroom in clothes, someone knocked on his door 3 times. Zam wondered who is knocking on the door, well since it was 8 in the morning.
So Zam gets out from his bedroom to open the door for whoever is outside his apartment. As he opened the door, he saw a familiar figure in front of him.
It was ... Eggchan?
"Hey bro, you know today is Wemmbu's birthday right? Have you prepared any gifts for him yet?" asked Egg, while holding something in his hands.
"Oh yeah! I haven't prepared anything yet, I'm planning to buy it right now though. Also Egg why are you at my apartment and what's that you're holding?" replied Zam, while signalling Egg to come inside his apartment.
"I'm just here to like, ask if you already prepared a gift for Wemmbu bro and the thing I'm holding right now is my gift for Wemmbu bro." replied Egg while going inside Zam's apartment and taking off his shoes.
"I see I see, what's in that gift?" asked Zam curiously, pointing at the gift Egg is still holding in his hands.
"It's, a tiara." replied Egg, feeling embarrassed thinking tiaras are only for girls to wear.
"Tiara?" said Zam looking at Egg weirdly, and raised an eyebrow.
"I know what you're thinking about bro ─ but wouldn't a tiara be a perfect fit for Wemmbu?" said Egg nervously, trying to sound casual.
"I mean, it's really great for Wemmbu. But why a tiara?" asked Zam, while staring at him.
"I don't really know, but bro it still fits Wemmbu though!" said Egg, giggled.
"Oh, I get it .. Princess Wemmbu? " asked Zam jokingly while giggling with Egg.
"Ok ok, lock in bro. What are you planning to buy for Wemmbu?" asked Egg, putting his gift on Zam's table as he sat down on his couch.
"Uh .. I don't really know." said Zam thinking on what to give Wemmbu as he sat beside Egg on the couch.
"Hm .. what about those fancy looking clothes?" asked Egg, also thinking on what Zam should give to Wemmbu on his birthday.
"That would work, I dont know!" replied Zam, looking outside the window as a flock of birds flew by.
"Didn't Wemmbu said he likes nightshades?" said Egg, unsure whether he'd actually said that.
"Nightshades? I mean yeah but I heard nightshades is poisonous tho. So how am I supposed to give those to Wemmbu? I'm afraid it might poisoned him." said Zam, still looking outside the window.
"Yeah I guess but like ─ isn't Wemmbu immune to poisons?" replied Egg.
"Some poisons." said Zam.
"Oh right..." replied Egg, now actually have no idea on what Zam should give to Wemmbu.
