Chapter Text
Usahana had a great variety of pens sprawled around her, as she poured over a sheet of paper. She had been imagining a world of wonder, one with sights that would be new and exciting! The idea fueled her ambition to put pen to paper.
“If only we could visit some place for real,” rolled in Nyako-chan.
Usahana smiled at her friend, “We could right now, if you want.” She always felt happy accommodating others.
“Well,” Nyako-chan drifted, “the strange star road outside is kind of making me too nervous.”
“Oh, I guess so... Wait, what?”
The two friends peeked outside, where there was indeed a star road beaming from the sky, all the way to the ground just next to them. Observing Nyako-chan’s anxiousness, Usahana decided to be the brave one, and went closer to it.
Tentatively touching the beam, it seemed pretty harmless, though she was able to feel some weird gravity emanating from it. Then Usahana realized that it was possible to walk on the star road.
“Hey Nyako-chan!”, shouted Usahana, “I think this thing actually works!”
“R-really?”, Nyako-chan said in response. She followed her friend to where she had walked, which sort of gave the illusion of standing on thin air.
“Y’know,” Ushana started, “this could take us somewhere totally new and interesting! Like my drawing!”
“Maybe, though it might be a long walk.”
“We could use the exercise. C’mon, let’s go!”
They didn’t know where they were going, which only peaked their curiosity even further. Just what was this going to lead to?
