Despite Iso being a perfectionist, he’s a surprisingly unpredictable boyfriend. Chamber knows firsthand his mood swings, and how stubborn he is about anything and everything. Dating Iso for 6 months has only scratched the surface of Iso’s quirks.
Fortunately, Chamber catches the car keys before the keychain hits his face. Lying on bed, he raises an eyebrow at Iso who threw it at him, standing by the edge of the bedframe. “In an assassinating mood, are we, darling?”
Iso crosses his arms, “Let’s go out.”
Chamber doesn’t complain—wherever his lover desires, his heart follows—but, “Where does my love wish to go at this ungodly hour?” It’s well-past 10 PM; the last time Chamber checked, the facilities at the base are closed.
“Dinner,” Iso says plainly. “My meal prep spoiled and… there’s a new Chinese place a few minutes away.”
“Ah,” Chamber sits up, intrigued. Iso’s diet consists of hourly snacks throughout the day; otherwise, Iso’s meal prep never spoil. Although, it has been weeks since their last date. Maybe spoiled meal actually means ‘spoil me?’ “Okay. How should I dress?”
“Something casual,” Iso replies. “I left a sweater in your closet.”
Casual, huh? Chamber hasn’t changed out of his suit. Definitely, Iso can help him out of it…
Like moth to a flame, Chamber closes the gap between him and Iso, and sneaks a hand under the sweater Iso’s currently wearing. Grinning ear-to ear, he says, “Oh, but I’d rather borrow this.”
Touches are less subtle; Iso understands immediately that Chamber wants him to strip (and more). While Chamber tugs on Iso’s sweater, Iso stares at him incredulously. “You’ll make us late.”
“Then let’s hope that Chinese place is open 24/7.”
What retort Iso makes stays behind his lips—Chamber kisses him before he can argue anymore. Iso doesn’t fight it; he returns the kiss with equal passion, holding onto Chamber by his shoulder while Chamber continues to rub his hands on Iso’s waist. The space between them is completely nonexistent now.
Slowly and carefully, Chamber returns to the bed, holding Iso close to his heart…
The restaurant Iso wanted to visit is closed when they arrive.
Fifteen minutes away from the base, Chamber is torn between laughing and feeling sorry for his boyfriend. They’re parked now, but Chamber hasn’t relaxed his foot from the clutch.
Alas, he’s successfully borrowed Iso’s sweater, and the swollen shape of Iso’s lips is a prize of its own, but Iso’s sulking now. The world feels like it’s lost its color when Iso sulks—although, Iso’s pout is rather cute.
“Darling,” Chamber tries for a sweet tone, but a giggle slips. “Darling, baby. It’s fine. We can always pass a drive thru.”
“Baby,” Iso frowns deeper. “I tried to tell you.”
“I couldn’t help myself, I admit, but we cannot stay here forever,” Chamber says. When Iso leans onto his palm when he cups Iso’s cheek, his breath skips. Earlier’s warmth returns to him with Iso’s heated gaze. “I’m not sorry for pleasuring you, darling.”
Iso quiets for a second before stopping his breath once more with a kiss. Chamber forgets where he is in that second. “I know. But, I’m starving.”
Chamber laughs, his lips touching Iso’s mouth. “How about Wendy’s? My treat.”
Iso doesn’t resist him when Chamber leans for another kiss; perhaps, he can’t or never will.
