Summary:

In the city of Milreen, ruled by sorcerers and inhabited by various supernatural beings, an ancient order has been broken: a hunt for vampires has begun, with the goal of annihilating this race and permanently expelling it from the territory. In the farthest district, where magical light rarely reaches and where brothels, bars, and the city’s forgotten inhabitants gather, a persistent rumor circulates. It is said that Cedric Morvanius, the young man who runs the White Raven bar and quietly holds influence over that region, is one of those creatures. As these rumors spread, the inexperienced sorcerer Elaric Mournier is assigned to investigate the case and uncover the truth behind Cedric.

Chapter 1: 𖤝 Characters 𖤝

Cedric Morvanius (He Chang Xi) - Owner of the White Raven bar, located in the Velmoura district. He holds significant influence over the region, and there are rumors that he was responsible for its founding over 107 years ago.

Elaric Mournier (He Yan Zhao) - 25 years old, a young sorcerer from House Mournier, one of the most influential families within the Order of the Oracle of the Seven Veils. His parents are among the main administrators of Milreen, while his grandparents were the ones who decreed the vampire hunt.

Emmett Morcain (Zhang Ming Bo) - Overseer of the Velmoura district and Cedric’s right-hand man. He is the only direct link to his leader, and many believe the two share the same origin.

Damien Mournier (Matthew Han) - 30 years old, sorcerer and cousin of Elaric. He holds a high-ranking position within the Order of the Oracle of the Seven Veils. Amid the ongoing family disputes between his father and uncle, he constantly seeks to rise to a position of leadership.

Elyra Morvanius (Liu Haocun) - A young woman associated with the Velmoura district. Few claim to have seen her in person, yet her name is constantly whispered in the streets. She is rumored to be Cedric’s younger sister, kept under his strict protection.

Branthor Mournier (Zhang Gong) - 62 years old, Elaric’s father and the supreme leader of the Order of the Oracle of the Seven Veils. He currently serves as one of Milreen’s main administrators and leads the vampire hunt, initiated by his own father’s decree.

Morvanna Mournier (Jia Shu Yi) - 55 years old, Elaric’s mother and a central figure in the administration of the Oracle. Known as the “Mother Sorceress,” she possesses the most powerful magic among the members of the council.

Gralthor Mournier (Feng Hui) - 59 years old, second-in-command of the Order of the Oracle of the Seven Veils and younger brother of Branthor. The two have maintained a long-standing rivalry over control and leadership of the city.
